unknown 2 on side 2 reminds me of Whyte - Promises (Fabi Paras Mix) somehow, perhaps another mix?

It's not Whyte-Promises, but I'd agree with ya that it's almost certainly a Fabi paras tune as it has that distinctive sound. Ed

deffo Paras related ... summat tells me it might be on Cowboy Records.

I will dig a lil' bit deeper as I'm sure I have this at least as a mp3
