1. Get an audio recording prog like Soundforge or Cool Edit (now called Adobe Audition)

2. Get your tape player and connect the LINE OUT to the LINE IN on your sound card.

3. DO NOT plug the output from the tape player into the MIC INPUT on your sound card, or you risk damaging it.

4. Set your PC recording - making sure you've set to record from the LINE INPUT

5. Press play

6. When you're done recording, chop the beginning and end and save your file as an mp3 and remember to select the bitrate to what you want.

7. Stick it on your Ipod.

How do i go about downloading goldwave? I've got loads of tapes that i wouldnt mind converting to mp3.Any help would be much appreciated! :)
