Due to not having a toaster at the mo at Dannsters, had to find a workaround for eating toast, cos you got to eat toast right?

B4 a couple weeks ago Ive seen Dannster toasting bread on his gas fire with a big fork lol :king:

Got home tonight and was reet for my hot mackeral on toast. Thought how can I make my toast with no toaster or grill but not using the gas fire technique. Ding ding (the sound of an idea)

Use a little frying pan, fookin ell works a treat. Heat the pan up till dead hot then slap bread on till desired brownage. Dannster will be made up when he hears about this. We probs wont buy a toaster now. Wahay! :thumbsup:

Anyone else cooked anything in an unconventional way?

PMSL!

In a flat I lived in, it was that cold we used to turn the rings on on the gas cooker to warm it up a bit.

Not quite the same, but theres a connection lol!

If I dont know the answer in the morning then I'll ask my mad totem pole veg, see what that says. Laugh if it says Toast lol. In fact laff if it says anything at all cos it Veg! lololololol

Used to find the Salt and vinegar used to smart a bit, and the ladies wrinkled their noses up at anything cheesey :|

Toasters are great, get one, you'll be gutted without it I reckon, unless you just use your grill ? gas oven with a grill will be better than using a frying pan surely? unless you like your bread the Irish way (stodgy fuckers them lot!)

I love them toaster crumpets you get, much better than under the grill :thumbsup:

Yeah think were gonna get a toaster soon, will probs get one saturday.

The best toast is toast under a grill in the oven, dont know why might be the even coverage. Oh my gosh technical toast talk!

But we have issues, 1 his grill doesnt work. 2 The oven doesnt work.

Were getting a new oven grill hob tho soon :thumbsup:

Anyone got any ideas on cookin 'in the oven stuff' without an oven
Stuff that you cant micro?

My best workaround at mo is eat out lol
