say if you have a song that is exactly five mins long with the decks on zero. does anyone know how long it would be with say the decks set on minus 8 or plus 8. I know there enough anoraks on here to have worked this out already. thx in advance

+ or - 8 on a deck is simply + or - 8%. So a five minute track at -8 would be 4 minutes 36 seconds, and at +8 it would be 5 minutes 24 seconds long.nathan said:
Of course that wouldn't work out in practise as no two decks are the same and + 8 for one isn't the same + 8 for the other. The only way you could get a definite pitch is with the little dots and therefore your choice's are +/- 3.3 and + 6 (on a Technics anyway).
