Without sounding too cliched, Rome wasn't built in a day.

There was a far better atmosphere in there than the previous week (not that this was hard) We turned away around a hundred people for not being 'right' in one way or another & to go from the shambles of the previous week to perfect the next was what we all wanted, but highly unlikely.

Claire, you were there, i'd be interested to hear if you thought there was an improvement. Unfortunately there was one incident, which was quickly sorted out & the world we live in there will be incidents in the future unfortunately, but its our job to ensure these are kept at a minimum, it was a major improvement on the week before, not perfect by any stretch but a HUGE improvement in my eyes. Correct me if i'm wrong of course.
Believe me, everything that wasn't perfect will be for next week, we eliminated a lot of the useless doorstaff this weekend & it'll be even better for everyone(as near to perfect as poss) for SlipMatt & XTC this weekend.

Stick with us people, we're all after the same goal...Of having a weekly saturday night to be proud of!!

Nice one.

Carl.

Hi Carl

I know what ya saying about the night being bad.. I mean I left early but I was worried when I found out what happened bearing in mind my mates were still there when I did leave. I was chatting to Recca about it on the night and said I thought it had improved and even though it was a bit quiet the atmosphere was better but it looks like I left at the right time.

See what ya mean about it taking time but soon enough ya wont have time cos it happened two weeks running now .. how can ya be sure people just wont bother coming again

But hey I aint knocking ya for trying chick and hope it does improve but at the end of the day I will be there to support Butty & Recca and just hope I dont have to dodge bottles like the guys did last weekend !!

problems come with the type of music it attracts wrong un's thats how it always has been and always will be, the main thing is that the promoters have identified this and are working towards sorting it. that gets a big fat ferk off  from me.

Well i'm gutted Woody, I really thought that we'd made a few positive steps, we'll get there for next weekend though, we have to.
to b honest, i really think that there is no need to say that there has only been a slight improvement, due to the fact that the atmosphere WAS so so much better than the one last week!:D the few knobheads that were stood near the toilets were the people who caused the trouble, and the fact that they were there was mentioned to the promotion crew and straight after they had been separated, so this in itself must state that there has been effort gone into tryin to make everyone in the club feel more safe!
At the end of the day, its a shame yeah that some people have managed to slip the net and put a damper on some people's nites:naughty: :naughty: but can no one else see the trouble that has been taken to try and minimise the trouble? out of the promoters pockets?? its jus as easy for them to say "sod it, let em all in and we'll earn and extra grand" but no, they took a grand from their own pockets and gave it to another promoter somewhere else in town who doesnt give a sh@t!:fekked: :fekked:

The lights were switched on at 3 because the trouble had just happened & we didnt want a repeat of last weekends problems where the trouble just seemed to snowball & there were ideas to close the club at 3.
the switching on of the lights is a good move in my opinion.  it lets people know that, yeah, there is somethin not quite right, cause, lets face it, if there was a bleedin bottle brawl near me, i'd rather have the lights on to see it than have them off and dance/walk/hop right into the middle of it!!!
it also lets people see that there is somethin bein done bout it, and people can see wit their own eyes that these people are bein chucked out of the place and can b made to feel better by that!!!!
and if the trouble has been sorted, why not carry on?

We're doing our best to take this night forward & we're not about to let a mindless minority stop it for the rest of us
The only thing i would say about any of this, isnt that the boucers werent doin their job, cause i am sure they were,:gigolo: but maybe for a couple of weeks get a few more of them, jus to intimidate people, the trouble would calm down and when it does, u will have no need for a large school of grufty blokes!:ba::ba::ba:
u are takin the nite forward, and after last week, saturday was a breath of fresh air, fair enough, i was nearly knocked out by the bottle that flew and the silly idiot stole my drinks, but hey, thats jus somethin that could have happened anywhere!! Timeless, Maximes any of them, at least it wasnt aimed for me eh????( erm....or smack me in the choppers LOL);) :p

if anyone feels threatened at any time during any night of ours, please, please come & see me & I will see that this is quickly rectified, you guys are the reason we open every week, so that the genuine lovers of the scene have somewhere to go every weekend.
That statement alone says a hell of a lot, the guy is ready to have everyone pester him all nite, as well as turnin down payin customers that look like they are trouble so that the rest of us peaceful lot can have a good time!:king: :king: :king:

hire a couple more bouncers for a couple of weeks, intimidate them, and it will b sorted, at the end of the day, you cant expect miracles and until miracles happen there is gonna b trouble at any place u go! NOWHERE is perfectly safe when u go out!! Not one place!

Carl, kep up what ya doin, the effort u r makin is somethin that shines above any trouble that happens on the nite, cause its blatant that u r dealin wit it! so well done!!!    :king: :king: :king: :king: :king: :D :D :D :D

bollocks!!!

i appreciate they have made a huuge effort and i have already mailed carl telling him that.
the night was really quiet until the knobs came in that was why the atmosphere was better than the previous week!! but you didnt have to walk through them all to go and take a slash did you???? no you didnt!! so u dont know!!

they cant say sod it and let all the knob heads in again becasue they will have NO regulars whatsoever left and therefore no night at all, so thats bollocks too

you were the first person to complain when the lights went on so that again is bollocks too, it was a good 15 mins after the melee that the lights came on so you are wrong on that too! if u remember rightly we were dancing on the stairs while butty and recca were on, and cam was playin when the trouble started!!!

nobody at all is doubting carls good intentions and his plan of action to sort it out so who are you trying to have a go at in this post???? moi by the looks of it!!!

the bouncers CLEARLY werent doing their job or it wouldnt have erupted in a mass brawl, would it???? in maximes (to use your example) they have bouncers in EVERY single corner and loads walking round all nite, seperating the groups of lads who may casue trouble, and so they are close to the action if anything does happen. the said culprits are then banned for life. end of story. in all the times i've been to maximes i cant remember a single incident where i've been hit, plenty of stares yes but no physical contact.
twice in denvers in the same night, now what does that tell you...
if you had read the posts properly before jumping on your high horse you will see that no-one is slagging carl, his intentions or the night. we are all fully behind him every bit as much as you and all want the same thing ultimately a good saturday nite out somewhere with decent people, good DJs and decent crowd, and we all know thats what vison are working towards.
the only point you have made that is right is the fact that more doormen are needed, and they need to be more vigilant with who they let in.
all the rest is just bollocks aimed at my previous posts regarding the night, which i clearly said was rockin and the majority of the crowd were safe as fcuk, and it was only the scallys and the w@nker doorman that had spoiled the night.

so ner

Woody, u shuda bought one of those comedown kits mate ;)!! Nah, points all noted, i think Jen's just tryna look on the brightside, not havin a go at u mate.

Saturday night was just a fact finding mission tbf, or what needed to be done to ensure whats best for everyone. Your scouse mate was actually sent from the door teams main head to find out what needs to be done, what the doorteam we're doing wrong & who isnt pulling there weight.

The Result of this is 12 bouncers (inc one bird) will be in attendance every saturday night & a lot of the wasters will be removed from the door, the bouncers will have radio's (which for some unknown reason they dont already have) Panic buttons dotted around the club & a huge door presence inside, to deter any would be muppets. 2 incidents in 2 weeks just aint good enough & if we dont put a stop to it now, we never will, but i think that we're on our way to gettin where we need to be.

So tell Easty Woody, if he wants to celebrate his b'day at Denvers this saturday, there's a guestlist here with his name on it & if anyone else who has declared they're never gonna go to Denvers again is willing to give it another shot on my word that the club will be as safe can be this weekend, PM me & we'll see you there for SlipMatt, XTC et al this weekend Gratis!!

Its a bold statement, but I'm confident after the meeting I had today, that we're on the ascendancy from here!!

erm. everyone is entitled to an opinion on how they saw a night. if someone has a diffrent opinion than another person then that doesnt make one right or wrong.

it doesnt call for mindless arguments on a public forum
