Do you have one of these in your collection, a section of eclectic records that are just sorta ace and just the ticket on a drunken evenings and lazy Sundays? We have a little cube in the racks at ours that we call 'desert island' thats full of great sounding/nostalgic wonders. There are about 40 in total, it gets added to from time to time but generally it stays the same.

Baleric Beats- vol 1
Cheech & Chong- Greatest hits -eh?

we've got a shelf or two dedicated to that sort of stuff. the mrs has a couple of years on me and is a fan of the 80's so there's plenty of human league, weller related stuff in there. I dig a lot of the easy listening stuff for those pissed up times, Andy Williams Happy Heart from Shallow Grave is always a winner, Young Americans from Bowie is a treat too.

I've got about 3 shelfs worth of all sorts of obscure stuff

I love the ET picture disk from 1982 with the "moon landing" thing that nipper used to play.

Steinski's lesson 1,2 & 3 (amazing hip hop cut up selection which I have not found so you can stop looking)

2 or 3 JMJ tunes I can thin kof but probably more.

vangelis "chung kao" (just added last week)

Few dollars more soundtrack (loads of class samples on it)

Rolling Stones "paint it black" (Personal fave) as I always used to tape BPM..remember that great programme with Tour of duty before.

& planty more I only can remember once I see them..

shannon "let the music play" is in there, deffo one of the best early 80's tunes
