Iv just ordered a pretty rare n valuable record on Discogs at a good price but still a fair amount to pay for a record (The price is 60 Euros).

However Iv the seller only has 1 negative feedback and does seem to be selling records that are highly sought after and Im would say at cheap prices (Im no expert in hard trance though) - which isnt filling me with confidence.

Deftone - Discogs Marketplace

What I need to know is if I pay via paypal and the seller is dodgey will I get my money back?

Defo sure mate

Ive tried to get my money back and they cant issue it as mentioned his paypal is empty , im guessing if your bank account is linked to it then that will prolly be a different case like

If you buy it using Paypal, but funded by your credit card (ie you have no money in your Paypal account) then it can be covered in certain circumstances. It's by no means guaranteed though! Have a read of this:

Marketplace / Seller jdboy - Security question

This kind of thing seems to be more prevalent on Discogs lately, and it looks like one guy is behind a lot of it. He has called himself (among other things) 'dirtybassbombs' and 'jdboy' but has numerous other accounts. He offers rare tunes for sale at a fraction of what they generally sell for, then does not deliver. A lot of people have lost large amounts of money. When they banned those two ID's from selling he tried to register several more using the same IP address. Scamming barsteward.

View feedback on seller: jdboy

View feedback on buyer: dirtybassbombs

My advice would be leave it alone!

Why in the world would you even consider buying from someone that only has one feedback, and it's a negative. Here's the feedback comment from his user ID: DO NOT BUY HERE - THIS GUY DOES NOT OWN WHAT HE SELLS - HE WILL CHEAT YOU AND TAKE YOUR MONEY!!!!!

I don't care how rare or cheap the record is, it's not worth the risk.
