I stopped using Discogs a few years ago because I would place an order for a record and never get an invoice. One guy senT me a message about 6 months later asking if I wanted the record still! I ordered some records yesterday and two separate sellers keep sending me invoices even though I have paid them. I think Discogs is a really good resource, but I am not 100% trusting of it. Also sellers are advertising fixed P&P rates and then charging you a vastly inflated amount than what they say they charge. Who Police's Discogs? What happens if you get ripped off, do Discogs refund you?

I sell through Discogs, my suggestion is that the seller is not checking their paypal or email to see if paid before sending another invoice - I can see why it is irritating. I always drop a message to say paid when i do buy though cos paypal will refund the money if the transaction goes tits up and i like a documented trail of messages to prove this.... shame it has to be like that.:(

report them to discogs or give appropriate feedback if they are arsey about p&p its the only way to stop it... persoanlly i sell at what i want to sell for and dont make money on P&P... I hate being charged loads on postage especially when you know it is not what it costs the royal mail!

I can totally empathise with a seller not wanting to let a decent record go for peanuts, but like you said why make up for this through P&P? They should just price the record accordingly. I will give it until tomorrow evening then I will message the sellers.

It isn't the easiest of sites to work, and I am a propper donut when it comes to internet stuff...but it's just basic rules of buisness to have a clearly described and priced item, postage and shipping has a section for you to ramble on as much as you want...so there are no real excuses for misunderstanding...that is what the feedback system is for, to protect the buyer from the crap seller, if you're too generous with the feedback or refrain from the slaughter, then no-one will benefit except the fkr that sold you the tune in the first place...I never buy from anyone who is under 99% unless it's an already trusted source.
