cheese and tomato?

Cheese And Tomato?

CHEESE AND TOMATO?

Isn't that like the most boring pizza ever? (not having a dig at you btw) I used to order those when I was in me teens, as I'd not tried any spicy food due to me dad having gut ulcers, so we ate bland things mainly :S

Remember having a pepperoni pizza for the first time and it blowing my head off, mate was pissing himself at me lol :$ - got the taste for it and just liked things hotter and hotter since :p

Anyway, got to say, the pizza's from Dominoes (round here anyhow) are horrid, they're always dead floppy and they use too much tomato sauce :hurl:

But, the biggest problem I have with them is whenever you ring them up, they don't have 'Donald Byrd' - (Falling Like) Dominoes as their hold music

bj's best joke of the night, you don't get funnier than that at butlins let me tell ya :eyes:

(you alright there at the back, come on, move closer together, that's better)

Blue Jammer. Plain Cheese and Tomato is the DADDY of pizza's. Ofcourse Spicy Chicken with spicy chilli seeds and red peppers is the real one, but you have to have a taste of normal pizza to appreciate the different pizza's on offer! Bring on the C&O, thats what I say!. Thats why Cheese and Tomato is the daddy, its the basis for every pizza known to mankind and the perfect pizza sandwich material.
We dont have any major chains round here, just dodgy backstreet Kebab shops and a funny feeling health regulations are meant just for other towns :) lol. Nah, theyre pretty good really, I dont get them often for numerous reasons!. Morrisons do a good range though. lol.

I hate soggy pizza - yueerk!.

ps 'Donald Byrd' who? lol

Morrisons pizza's are grim, the bases aren't right, and the little amount of cheese they have as a token gesture, narks me greatly.

There was a great kebab shop round the corner from my folks house that used to do really nice cheese & tomato pizza's - with a sprinkling of herbs on, which made it all the more tasty, and they were always perfect, you know never have a bad day where the base burns a bit, or when they cut them up the cheese is all hanging off one slice, proper spot ons they were.

Nowadays I just can't eat plain stuff, and I'm addicted to HP Chilli Sauce - have that on everything :axe:

PM me your address and I'll do you a CD of stuff you wouldn't normally listen to, as I think you'd like a lot of it (really!) up to you mate, but even if you didn't like it, it's only 74 mins and you've a free coaster ;)

I think Id pass up a CD load, maybe one or two shuftied my way will be okay.

Tell you what though, I havent lived cos I cant remember the last time I got a proper pizza (except off pizza hut a few months back anyway), so any pizza thats half decent does me.

One thing that pisses me off about 'general' supermarket and whatever pizza's (apart from those self risers etc) is that gawd awfull PLASTIC cheese!!!!!!! I call it Bin Bag Cheese, because it resembles a melted bin bag. . Its not even cheese is it, its cheese substitute whatever that is - lol. You get more topping on an egg shell. Then theres those manky chunks of tomato that look so sorry they beg to be eaten to put themm out thier misery, then theres the horrible way they go around the edges of the topping, all bubley and semi charred. :hurl:

I need to get out and get me some fresh pizza ;)

The old pizza debate

End of the day, if you want a real pizza, then you have to go to a real Italian Restaurant. None of this deep pan from Morrisons polava.

Men  no class!

lol ;)

Lol, again (typical of right on types) you confuse yourself  Class hasnt anything to do with it :). lol.

There are no proper italian pizzaries for miles, whereas we have (I bullshit you not) in one small area - 2 Asda's, two Kwiksaves, Morrisons, Lidl, Aldi, 3 Spa's, Sainsburys, Tesco's, 2 Icelands, and many other cheaptastic independant supermarkets. I think I live in Supermarketville, I may see the council about renaming the place accordingly to avoid confusion. How many can you cram in such a small area? It must be an attempt at a world record.

Theres some el-cheapo fast food outlets, but for numerous reasons and principles I dont go in those if I can help it. The majority are chicken nuggets and whatever so Im not sure if they even do them! lol.

Hence, its not really a lack of class as you call it, its a lack of choice, and the best thats on offer.

Maybe I can come round yours and see a proper pizza in full splendour? lol.

Thin base is the best, deep pan are just wrong. I want a pizza not a cake

For the meantime, I get stonebaked thin base ones with proper toppings on.

I guess what youre not used to, you dont miss :) :S

lol, ah I love you sirius, you can draft a four page essay and reduce me to the size my fellow mr men :p even on the menial topic of pizzas :D lol

Haha, although I adore my "classy" stonebaked thin based pizzas, in the real world I get tesco value ones coz that's all I can afford lol

But on the "lack of class" debate do I believe you're argument occured because, well, you have none!!! ;)

J/k, sirius, I'd cook you a pizza anyday, plus there's and aldi round the corner, so we'll buy the ingredients there and it'll be a new venture for you lol

Bagsie kneeding the dough and spinning it :D ;) .

Or do you cheat and buy a base? lol. That cant be classy now can it :p . You see, there is proof if ever I saw it - you say its not right unless its an italian pizza one minute, then later you say you get yours from tesco, and the value ones at that!. Typical leftist double standard psycho babble!.. j/k.

You see, you say I havent class, you may be right in some regards, but Im a humble man not intrested too much in how extravigantly expensive or poncy a pizza is, its whether its good or not and who you share it with (or gobble it all to to yourself with in the presence of somebody else :) ). Same way I dont go in for designer goods too much, cos at the end of the day, a shirt is a shirt to me. Aslong as its not made in some foriegn sweatshop its okay by me. lol.

I need education in the ways of pizza you see, maybe you can advise? is there a book "the joys of pizza" or "Pizza-sutra - 100 ways to enjoy pizza"? lol. I live a sheltered life, one away from posh pizza's etc.

Im glad Im invited for pizza round at yours :D :$ , do Aldi do all the required goods? I think a Spicy Chicken one would be good, you can keep the fishy or pepperami ones, oh and pineapple ones too! lol.

Thanks

Sirius.

Oh Sirius babe, you do miss the humour in my posts!!! :p

My double standard leftie babble or whatever, your small minded, none excepting version was :p was just a humble attempt to make you see that I am anything but classy. The whole post was having a pop at myself, hence the added appearence that I shop at Aldi, which is cheaper than quick save lol........

Of course I enjoy a decent well cooked Pizza, but I don't think I have the knowledge to teach you, lol if you find pizza sutra however, I'd be happy to learn!

Babe, you're always invited to mine, for a pizza and chat, but I'm sorry mate, I'm having pineapple on my half :p lol

Well, on my way home tonight, as I'd got back earlier than I usually do (nice super early bus, marvelous!)

I decided with all this pizza talk to get a fresh one from Chicago Pizza, just round t'corner from me.

Of course these pizza places don't have "Cheese & Tomato" oh no, they're up there on the wall as "Margareta" heh it's been yonks since I've had to ask for one of them, and I suppose it sounds better than saying "errr cheese and tomato mate" :$ lol

Anyway, an 11" thin crust Margareta, was £3.80, and was very tasty - especially after I dipped it in some HP Chilli sauce :p :hubba:

More Pizza tales next week, stayed tuned pizza fans  :cops:

Touch'e! lol .

Nah, I get the humour, my humour is spinned off of your humour lol.

I think we would have to make two pizza's, one with pineapple for yourself and one without pineapple for myself, obviously yours would be on the left side of the oven and mine placed central to right side of the oven accordingly. :). Maybe a cross pollenation of pineapple flavour on one pizza base may be okay though, I can be openminded ........:D . Can you take a taste of Spicy Chicken and chilli seeds though? Thats the question.

BlueJammer dude, do you not think the name of a cheese and tomato pizza is funny. I always get flashbacks of the gawd awful Mrs Pracataan  lol. Margerita Pracataan!!!!!!! OMG. My mate has one of her CD's - he got it for the laugh, but he still plays it :| :S .

Chilli Sauce is the bomb. I have a bottle of authentic foriegn labeled stuff I baught once - sheesh is it HOT! lol Tends to go with anything :). Can even dip peanuts in it as a snack, lol.

CAn you not get them done under the trade descriptions act though? "Chicago Pizza" - Its a bit far to go for them to get one, I dont know how the do it for the money or manage to keep it warm during the flight. :axe:

Do any of your pizza parlours do Pizza Sandwiches? They were my favourite after Angels and XPO, down the 'pizza factory' for a hand made pizza sanwich. (ie a folded and crimped over pizza, not between two slices of granary loaf!)?.

See ya

Right i went in to order a pizza. I had no idea what offers were on, so picked up the 'offer' sheet, and spotted that if you ring up and then collect your pizza you get 25% off. So i asked the girl if i really needed to ring, and she said 'yes its the rules' (lol just at that). So i said that i had my mobile on me, and did i really have to ring, could she not just put it through. No way. So i had no option to get my phone out and ring her, and get this- she picked up and the convo went like this:

Girl: 'hello Dominoes Pizza can i help'

Me: (feeling bloody stupid) 'yes, can i order a cheeses and tomotoe pizza please'

Girl: 'yes, it will be about 10 mins'

Get this

Girl: 'would you like it deliving'

Me: (laughing my head off) 'Erm no thanks, i am here to collect it already'.

Has the world gone totally mad, lol i was stood right next to her and she was pretending i was just a phone customer. :axe:

omigod..... what a load of shite....... but oh yes... if we hadnt lost it then we are destibned to loose it now..... the whole system is making us mad....hence half of us wanting to emigrate...

That's the first thing i thought when i saw her!!!!

What gets me is no one bats an eyelid, like it's dead normal or summat. At least when it was Sarah Lou, everyone looked at her in disgust, making it clear that it was nothing to be proud of!!!

The question is are your chilli seeds really that hot though Sirius ;) :p
