Don't You Want Me Vs. Insomnia

Jus received those 2 tunes this week on vinyl. Both top tunes produced by Rollo, both big chart successes in its time. Really hard to decide which is better, both are top stuff!!!!

So lets see which one wins:

Felix - Don't You Want Me

or

Faithless - Insomnia

Has to be Felix for me. quite a cutting edge sound in 1992 I thought, and was a superb crossover track that got played at raves, and underground house clubs alike! Ed

their both top choonz in their own right id say but Felix has to be the best song for me faithless is more charty to me but still a very good song by Maxi jazz / sister bliss / rollo .
Felix has more as someone sead in another thread more " back in the day memories " for me like the gallery , wigan pier , and galactica at ripon the joey beltram tape " don't stop that disco never ever stop that disco " if you were their you will know wot i mean choon a rooney but don't get me wrong no sleep is still a good song " tearing off tights with my teeth " and a fucking wicked intro to the song but it still don't beat Felix's intro wicked .
when rollo sent the song to hooj choons i don't think they changed much of the original song before they released it only on the remixes they changed it they were happy with it so they left it alone you don't get that much on song before ther are relesed .
rollo has made some good stuff " rollo goes camping " rollo goes spiritual " "rollo goes mystic "all top draw stuff in my book and it all started with don't u want me when he was 15 i think .

Felix all the way imo, i've never really liked insomnia except when it first came out as long as the instrumental got played, non o' that 'tearing off tights with me teeth' bollox thank ya very much!

Felix - 101%. Mite be cheese now, but it was a bangin tune when it first came out. Insomnia - good tune - but for me too was always a chart track.

Felix is bound to win, as this is an old skool site and it was released back in the day, and the people on here are into old skool.
If this thread was posted on a trance site for instance, then Insomnia would probably win.........

I like them both, although both are have been hammered more than an over worked prostitute........

Said Felix as it was huge at first release althought the 862 remixes have considerably pi55ed me off, the only remix I liked was the one on GFP records (Italian release)


I do like faithless though, off to V festival in summer and they are a band i'll be checking out....

not seen em since 99



also loved that AVH mix of Faithless with the bells in it.
