New science series to show drug effects live - Channel 4 - Info - Press

It's only taken 20 years for the hysteria to die down and for programme makers to finally grow enough balls (or maybe to get permission) to make factual programmes about the true effects of drugs in people.

'How Drugs Work' was a fascinating in depth look at the effects of drugs on the human body and no doubt paved the way for other such shows to come along and take away some of the misinformation we've been force fed by the media and government, somewhat to their discredit as usually we know better ourselves.

Well now taboos and boundaries are being broken down with groundbreaking factual programmes (such as showing the last breath of a human being, the other night) they're finally treating us like adults and hopefully this will help us to actually learn something instead of us treating their reports with derision:thumbsup:

The problem i see is "tested under clinical conditions" there is gonna be all sorts of false pressures and missreading of test result purely down the fact its not gonna be a real situation.
We all do it as a social thing with music and mates. if youre in a white room with wires pokin out yer bum yer gonna be up tight before the first readings

Was it not Channel 4 who did a program about 15 years ago which visited World Dance in Lydd. Part of the program was a guy who popped an E under medical conditions and gave feedback as he went through the effects. As part of the same program 2 guys went raving for the first time at World Dance.

Got it recorded on a video tape somewhere.
