You've answered your own question already!

Nero :D

Use the option "DVD Copy" under the DVD menu, and that's as simple as it gets for non-copyright DVD's such as the Hazy/other Rave discs.

If you want to copy a copyright DVD, there's a bit of software called 'AnyDVD' that will let you access the Vob files so you can copy them out, and then use DVDshrink to compress it down so it fits on a 4.7Gig DVD-R.

It all depends on the source DVD. Its is a DVD-5 then you can do a direct copy. If its a DVD-9 then you have to either copy it onto two DVD's or shrink it to fit onto one DVD (unless you have a dual layer DVD writer). [You have to remove any encryption first with either format using DVD Decrypter, which also removes any region encoding as well]

Peeps will recommend tools like DVD-to-One or DVDShrink but you loose a lot of control over the quality of the final DVD (but it makes the copy process easy). Personally, I like to do it manually and extract and create VOBs, etc myself.

Have a look at http://www.videohelp.com/dvdbackup and http://www.doom9.org for some really good tutorials on doing this the right way. If you need any of the commercial tools then give me a shout ;)
