should be no problems

try the nec 3500a 16x DL burner - When I have enough cash thats my next upgrade im sure it writes to cd at 48x as well. I think you should invest in nero 6 as well, as that has the overburn function built in me thinks:thumbsup:

Unbelievable how cheap dvd burners are now, My sis's boyfriend bought his first one for £350 (x1!).
I'd check www.vcdhelp.com, excellent site for burner, player software and media reviews. Also full of tuturials for ripping and encoding films from divx etc.

I got the new Pioneer 108 & its really good, bought some 8x Datawrite grey dvds for it & they have all played perfectly (DVD/Console/Data) also theres region free firmware out for it so you dont have to worry about what region the DVDs you backup are from, havent used the dual layer disks yet but I know the Pioneer burns them at 4X so if thats important for you check on the other 2 drives Myk recommended (both of which have great reviews) as a lot of dual layers only do the D-L at 2.4X.
Only low point with it is the cd burning speed which they only put at 32X for some reason but its no big deal as Im phasing out cdr anyway.
