i've just recieved an invoice from them for like £32 ffs! how do they work this out whenever i list a record it like adds up to 30 cents which is about 12 p
Isn't it worked out at final value rather than the value it's initially listed at - also stuff like reserve price and double listings cost ya. Ben or James will undoubtably be able to tell you more.
i used to get invoices that big every month when i was selling phones on there
think they take 5% of the final price what ya sell at plus yer listing fee, plus theres a charge for reserve prices, buy it nows, more than one piccie, bold text etc etc
Actually looking at yer auctions you have shifted a few - they are b*stards for taking yer cash - have a look thru yer invoice and see if any large figure jumps out - sometimes you might get stung for a "bonus" feature that you accidently clicked on
I've just recently started seling a couple of tunes on ebay and I must say I don't have a fekkin clue what I'm bein charged for. Listing prices, processing fees and paypal charges. I just asked an ebay user on the site why a record I bought for £6.20 inc. P&P costs £7.20. He said its cos paypal charges you a quid for each transaction. I've not had a bank statement so I don't know & don't understand ebays accounts page. Is this correct that paypal charges a pound for a transaction?
but now there are charges - heres a tip DON'T use any of the added features - thry can bump yer costs right up
any purchase under £10 thru PAYPAL will not cost the seller more than 50p - anything else is taking the pish - 50p is alright -if you send a cheque it would cost about that
sometimes people use the £1 fee to withdraw to your bank account as an excuse to charge people extra - but you can let the cash build up and then withdraw it in 1 go
