On Cloud 9!!!
What a great night we all had!

Went to meet Harri (Mark) shortly after 9 pm in the Tin Angel, live band on and everyone had made such an effort for haloween. Loads of really fab costumes. Then EZEE pete trapped with dan and the groovy gang and few others and we all made our way down the platinumn club.

Music was ace from the minute we walked in and i knew i was going to have a good night, they did keep it tough (for the most part) apart from the odd non eclipse style number. The room we walked into was a big carpeted room with the dancefloor in the middle and the decks in a booth by the dance floor, was a nice touch sticking to the carpet just like we did back in the day lol! There were a few sound issues, one of the djs actually walked off lol and the bass kept dropping out but luckily this was not our room, the main room for all us old skool nuts was upstairs in a room which seemed bigger than that downstairs. After bumping into Shooms and friends we tootled off upstairs. Certainly darker with a better layout and soundsystem, had some old skool lighting going on as well. Music was pumpin all night and i actually smelt like id come straight out of an old skool club back in the day after dancing so hard i nearly passed out lol! Was really good fun. Pity Stu Allen didnt turn up but he wasnt missed - the other DJs certainly knew what they were doing enough to pull it off! Had a nice smoking area as well which felt like it was part of the club and was a good little social area. Met some really nice peeps out there.

I had thought it would be full of kids but to be fair we didnt feel old at all! the crowd were up for it - great crowd to play for, hope the djs were as chuffed as i was with the night cus i thoroughly enjoyed myself.! phones:  Was ace seeing peeps again xx

Nice review Debs

Got to the Tin Angel about 8:30 and it wasnt long before Alex and Deb joined us. It wasnt the best place to meet as it is a poky little venue but its an interesting little place with a fairly alternative crowd which i thought might add something to the night.Everyone in there was pretty friendly so it wasnt any problem. Once everyone had turned up there we made our way down to the club.

I was impressed by the size of the place - i really didnt think it would be that big. The first room was strictly drum and bass and could have easily held about 700 people. Upstairs was bigger and was where the oldskool was. Drink prices were reasonable and the (stoodent) bar staff did a good job. The decor was strictly 'nightclub' with lots of pinks and greys but no-one seemed to mind. I suppose it might have been better if theyd have killed the lights and just gone for a dark room, smoke, lazer, strobe and flower strobe.. like it used to be, but again, no-one seemed to mind :) Heard some great tracks being played and once top buzz came on the volume increased by another 10% which wasnt a problem. Overall, a good night for £11.
