ez people. just found this site. my name's Liam. I'm based in Canada. I first got into hip hop in late 1990. and then in late 93 I got exposed to breaks techno and especially underground hardcore jungle in Toronto. I started going to raves as often as I could and listened to mixtapes constantly
then in 99 I got decks and started hunting down oldskool breakbeat hardcore / jungle / D&B from England.. and I've been spinning it ever since at raves, jams, afterhours, loft parties and clubs in Toronto and Montreal, under the name Recoil. for oldskool I play pretty much exclusively original vinyl and dubplates.. though lately I also use traktor or CDJ to play unreleased tracks.
so ya that's it. I suck at these intros - lol.
I did have one question. I can't seem to upload an avatar in my profile. no matter what, it would either say upload failed or invalid file type. I made sure it was small enough to fit but no luck. any idea?
and one other question. can we embed soundcloud waveforms on here? if so can someone tell me what code this forum uses to do it?
