Is there any reason why we can't see the most recent threads/posts in Event Listings & Meetups from the Forum front page anymore?:S

I know it's been this way for quite some time now, but it seems odd to have changed it while people still go out and could easily miss an event because of this:crazy:

Aye it's proper crackers mate:crazy:

These events are what brought many of us together in the first place, so to have them hidden these days seems counter productive to a healthy forum based around our love for the music scene :S

That's not bad for short term events Dan (although I have to say it doesn't normally register with me as it isn't in the sweet spot between Chillout and Music that I focus on), but it doesn't show what's grabbing people's attention weeks before an event in the 'Event Listings....' bit.

Does anyone know why butty changed the format in the first place?

it got removed as promoters were spamming the event posts so there event is always on the front page. at one point one event was on the front page for 2 months and whenever anyone else posted on another thread the spammed as sh!t event got another post added to it :D :band:

That does make sense, but why not set some rules and ban the offenders, such as illumiNaughty. The forum has suffered a bit I reckon as a result of the spammers, or I should say by ineffectively sorting that problem out.

there is rules to say only events playing old skool to be posted due to event pr businesses spammin any event promoters will pay em to (its because osa is all over google the events posted then do well also hence attracting more of the spam massif) il look at adding a checkbox that will confirm its old skool being played and start banning spammerz
