Hmnn, i go through stages of being blinded by ridiculous claims of pepto proteins, claims of abilities to 'mop up free radicals' and promises of cellular regeneration, and then doubt it all and think its a great big phat crock of shit. Just the mention of it being formulated and controlled by some French laboratory has me eagely rooting in my purse for blankety blank checkbook and pen. Same with shampoo, all the crimper has to say is 'better hair' and i am there, another 20 quid spent.

What do you lot think, is expensive skin care a lot of nonsense? Does middle of the road shit (like say Tesco's own brand) do just the same job as a £100 cleanser?

i am exactly the same pay stupid money for brands , karin herzog products at the moment all oxogen products and its expensive but its good stuff .

I have tried the Karin Herzog cleanser, it didn't have oxy in though- which i was gutted at as thats why i tried it lol. What is the moist like? When i have finished my Crystal Clear shit i might jump ship to that. I was going to go down the DR Seabag route, but i just dunno- seems really expensive. Have you heard/tried any of the Freeze 24/7 stuff- i want the eye cream in that. I love Space NK for things like this, but as i said i do have that uneasy feeling that some fucker is pulling my pisser with it all.

not understanding any of that lot me...

I reck it's like hifi...
Beyond a certain point, you're paying 50% more to get a .5% improvement.

I think alot of it has to do with "Price perceived value" Ohhh that cream is £100, it MUST work!!!!

I find the dearer stuff is much better. Not the stupidly dear stuff, like Creme de la Mer...but a nice cream from Estee Lauder or somthing...and my face has never felt cleaner than when Ive used Clinique three step, although my teachers at college were dead against it.

I just find that in cheaper things...the product is "watered" down, some are good...but when I have the money, I'll get myself to the department store and get in the beauty bit...spend spend spend baby!

I hardly ever use the stuff apart from sometimes when i'm shaving, but i've got a few Clinique products that I usually buy in packs at the airport. It's about the most i'd pay for toiletries. Buying more expensive stuff isn't going to make me good looking though, unless it comes with a free genie.

The Nivea shaving gel and after shave balm is probably just as good though and i've started using those now instead:)

best thing to do is go in nearset beauty salon that stocks karin herzog products and ask them what they would recomend for your skin type because its really strong stuff and theres 3 levels , wouldnt buy it from them tho you can get it on ebay for half the price , ive never heard of Freeze 24/7 dare i ask how what it is and how much , lol , am such a sucker ( fuc off shooms) for new products , oh and the karin herzog products make your skin go a bit shitty at 1st so i wouldnt recomend using it if your off somewere nice or got a nite planned out . and as for space nk , i love that shop , spend hours in there love stila products .
