Hi everyone, ive been put onto this place by a good man in the north, the one like the Redeye who has just intro'd himself - big ups to you man for letting me know about this place.

Im a little 'un im afraid in the sense that my first rave was in 94 at tiffany's where i was a stage dancer!!! in the hardcore and jungle rooms.

This was also the time i started to mix records and saw the beginings of jungle come into the rave scene.

but i was into this music long before and to be fair was living in Cyprus when i discovered it!!

The first tune i ever heard was 'sweet harmony' by liquid (the first time round)
the drum and bass mix (not the naughty naughty one, the ORGINAL one from 91/92)

i followed the music closely and in fact i had the older people asking me if i had taped the radio shows that we used to get on BFBS.

to show my love and give you an idea of what i know ill give my top ten:

Liquid - sweet harmony
NRG - I need your lovin'
Yoke - Bish bosh
Messiah - There is no law
Acen - Just close your eyes
Ellis Dee - Rock to the max
Prodigy - G force Part 1
SL2 - Dj's Take control
Krome and Tyme - This sound is for the underground
Demon Boys - Debt

thats in no order cos i love them tunes equally and many more. Im always up for talkin tunes and always up for old skool mixes.

I hope to have many conversations about the old tunes as i love them and miss them and would with your help like to get them back as its a piece of me and my childhood that has now passed.

much love and respect to you all

i just caught it when it was still jungle techno, it's mad watching it go to jungle to jungle/drum and bass then just drum and bass.

personally im not a big fan of the pigeon holing, for me that was when the vibe the old skool captured sort of diminished a bit - i would give anything to return to 1992 at the age i am now and stay in a time warp.

DnB was at it's best 98 I reck. You should check out Raindance...the jungle/dnb room is propper propper Jungle...then as the night progresses it goes to DnB...kicks ASS!!!

is raindance still goin?

no way!!! is that still goin - actually ive think ive seen a few ads for it - i would of loved to have gone in about 92, i used to collect fliers and have still got one at home somewhere from then, the line-ups looked gobsmaking.

its wicked when you get a bit of both in the dance.

you said 98 was a peak time, if you arent good with names check out 'the acid trak' by dillinja (ill put it on a mix for ya).

it has to be one of my favourite jungle tunes of all time and that was out in 96/97 was big in 98. it is nasty

also 'mutant revisted' by trace aswell - oh my days.

i am more of a 'dred bass' (what the time you have dere dread?) kinda guy when im trollied which was about 94.
