Well what can i say about this night . . . . :( :) :D theres so much i would like to type to say about the night , but still feelin a little numb at the mo , not really sunk in yet that our nights will no longer be there . . . :( so will try my best so here goes . . . :)

This for me was a very sad night (but also prolly one of the best for me personally in many ways ) as it is was the end of an era for not only Goodtimes but also the clubbers of Huddersfield on a whole , as this was the original birthplace of Goodtimes way back in 1999 , and also a club ive been going to since 1996 as a clubber before i got into djin and promoter , . . . am sure i dont need to say the club will be sorely missed by so many for so many reasons . . . but id like to think we saw the place off in TRUE GOODTIMES style . . . . :) :)

right on to the night itself in a little more detail . . .

First off the turnout was HUGE , specialy to say it was a NON FLYER event , didnt think that many would have turned up off just really word of mouth , (but then again it was free in , lol ) but to my suprise the club was nicely rammed , and by 12 was near full capacity , with all 3 floors being used . . . .
All the djs played ABSOLUTE BLINDERS !! and did Goodtimes proud , so thank you all , and hope u all enjoyed being a part of the last GT @ this venue :)

First Dj was little sam , a mate of mine who GT has been groomin so to speak with warm up slots the hour before we open for the past six months , played his first real slot , and did the fookin job pullin out some REET italo house tunes ( sure VA will give his HUGE thumbs up for this set , eh fella ;) ) .

Next up was DJ Haighy , who played the last set on boxin day just gone , and what a set it was !!!! :) some beautys dropped in and around , ( even had me avin my phone out for ID's . lol )

Our resident Paul H was up next ( who covered for Eddy as hes on Holiday , am sorry you missed it fella . . :( ) Pauls was yet another top set , with some awesome tunes being thrown on ( again ad me phone out gettin IDS . lol ) and some top scratchin thro out the set as well :)

Sully was up next, for a return set after the last one went down so well :) proper full on dirty break beat , with some awesome piano breaks towards the end of the set , that sort of stuff normally doesnt go down well in most old skool nights , but we all know the Goodtimes crowd is diff , and they fookin buzzes off it , and split the night up well :)

Ste Huxley come up next , a dj that has become a BIG goodtimes crowd fave over our time at that vene , so knew the crowd was in for a treat ;) didnt really get to hear much of his whole set tho , all i know is i erd SOME FOOKIN TUNES and arf being pumped out , and well got the crowd goin for the last hour . . :)

And thanks to mr maddox . . u done a top job and could see you were as upset as me ;) ;) well nearly ;) :)

then it was me as thought it was only right i played the last set of the night there , as i have played at every Goodtimes since 1999 ( came close to missin it as spent all the day before throwin my guts up and shittin threw the eye of a needle . lol ) so wasnt feelin 100% come satrday morning but there was nothing on this earth that could ave made me miss my own last night there . lol ) this set will prolly stick in my mind for a long as im able to remember :) from the moment i dropped my 1st tune i knew it was gonna be one to enjoy to the MAX !!! ( as many of youll ave seen from me boucnin up and down like an absolute nutter soon as i dropped a tune in :) ) . . like to think i played a set that many will remember as i tried to play all the tunes that ave been crowd pleasers for me over the past few years , with a few new ones thrown in :) . . when it got to 2.50 and the lights came on ( dont ask me why tho ?? lol ) the crowd just got a 2nd wind and absolutly WENT ON ONE like i not seen many times , think the ocassion will ave ad summat to do with that tho :) :) . . got to 3am so was time for my last 3 tunes . .

first off came DREAM FREQUENCY / GOODTIMES . . a tune which is spec to GT as it played a part in the namin of the night back in 1999 :) , and we like to think of it as "the GT anthem" :) :) stood beind the decks and could see the whole crowd singing / screamin bouncin along to it all the way thro . . next up a dropped EXODUS TO PARADISE / ROCK IT . . one of my all time fave tunes from Life @ bowlers , then was time for the last tune of the night . . had put a lot of thought into what i was gonna play as me last , and thought it quiet appropreiate that . . DILEMMA / IN SPIRIT would be the best choice , a wiked tune and a very movin one at that :) , am sure some will have seen me avin to hold back the tears half way thro the tune   :$ :$

i even thougt fook it and made my way onto the main stage for a "final dance" for a couple of minutes half way thro the tune . . lol :) . . got back behind the decks as the tune started to finish , the tune finished and the crowd went mental , i can safely say ive never had as much respect and buzziness from a crowd off any night ive ever played in my life inc GT !!!!! its that that makes it all worthwhile to me and gives me a bigger buzz than any amount of money could ever bring me from promoting ( hence the free night for you guys , that actually cost me . lol only a little like . . but was more than worth it and ill never forget it ever i dont think :) :) :) . .

so thank you to each and every one that turned up and helped make the night was it was :) :) its you lot that make GT what it is , not me , i just put it all togther . . :)

i can PROMISE you all that Goodtimes

WILL BE BACK VERY VERY SOON ;) ;) BIGGER AND BETTER THAN EVER !! so watch this space :)

this may be the end of an era in one way , but is also the start of a new one ;) which will see Goodtimes returning even BIGGER and BETTER !!! :)

Big thanks also has to go out to the club owners , its been a nice and mmemorable journey while it lasted , also big up to the door staff whove worked for us for the past 6 months , wish more bouncers were like you , was a few spots of trouble thro out the night ( 2 or 3 to my knowin ) and they were dealt with nice and fast and taken out of the club as it should be :) :) so didnt marr the night one bit for me plus it was to be expected a little with the free entry which attracted a few beers heads . .

also i will be bring out a dvd vid of the night was we got some AWESOME footage :) will post some pics as well , soon as i can . . . :)

THANK YOU ALL ONCE AGAIN FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT OVER THE PAST FEW YEARS , LONG MAY IT CONTINUE . . . :)

Struggled to stay awake at ben's for the last 3 hours (due to lack of medication ;) ) but still had a top time.
Well done Ben, Mik and all of you, looks like between the lot of you you've made GT a f*ckin brilliant OS night that stands out from all the others.

Enjoyed this night, I was proper twatted though :$

Sorry to anyone that tried to talk to me, as I was finding it really hard to try and talk at some points, and erm do actually anything other than wobble about lol :fekked:

The best two tunes of the night were played by Ben, so mucho respect for that, as they both toppled my head, and I had the biggest rushes I've ever had in my life to:

Moby - Next Is The E (I Feel It) and boy was I feeling it, smiling out of the back of my head :D
Dream Frequency - Take Me (sirius, you'd have loved it mate!)

Wow!

Not gonna mention names, as I forgot who was there, and who wasn't lol

Hello all, nice one  :cops:

Sniffing glue........again!
Ben mate, i'm so proud of you and Mik and what you've both achieved. You may have to leave rhythms behind but i'm confident that Goodtimes will live on and be as popular no matter where it goes to.

During the last tune i stopped and looked around at everyone, especially all the OSA lot and the looks on everyones faces was something really special. Everyone was smiling and clapping, it was fab!!!!!!

PW you sneaky little fecker!!!!!!! Can't believe you kept that a secret, i'd have been so gutted if i'd not gone and then heard you where there!!!!! It was so fantastic to see you and you look amazing. I'll definately try and get down to see you soon.

And as for the rest of ya,.............................................. :luv:

See you all soon.

Had a really good night, it was an honour and a pleasure to play at the last GT at Indigo.

Got there about 11.30 think Paul H was playing bouncy zone tunes that were going down really well. I couldnt believe the numbers in on the night. Next up was Sully, playing loads of breakbeat orientated tunes with dirty basslines and sneaky piano coming in every now and then, looked over on the dex, yes loads of white lables, thats what I like to see:cool: , these tunes were mixed into old hardcore piano tunes, the 2 styles go together well, nice 1, good reaction to the tunes as well. I got on next and played loads of bouncy piano tunes, a few anthems and loads of rarer stuff, few big vocal tunes etc etc, nice mixture went down nicely:cool:

:naughty: :naughty: Bongo man!!

Last up was Ben Fisher, a top set, 'kind of a best of' which I really enjoyed loads of funky and bouncy tunes, plenty of anthems, perfect for the end of night:thumbsup: n The clapping/cheering at the end was fantastic

There was a good atmos in there, few piss heads but thats expected seeing as tho it was a free night.

There was a good OSA turnout, Hello to everyone, and it was fab to see Princess out again:love:

Im sorry that this venues gone but good luck with pastures new. Respect to Ben & Mik for Goodtimes:cool:

Well what can i say, it was the best goodtimes EVER. I had such a good night. Was completley sober as i had to move back to shef the next day, but i was just high on life and the music and the people. the atmosphere was amazing, ive never seen so many smiling faces and good attitude in that place, i think everyone had an absoloutley fantastic night. the range of music was great, it catered for everyone n didnt get tiresome once cos there was such a variety. totally buzzed off everyone there and every tune that was played, and off ben shedding a tear behind the decks at the end. everyone was so emotional but having so much fun at the same time. What a send off!! it really couldnt have been any better. My feet are totally fkd from stompin in them boots, worth the pain tho!!

wish i could have come back afterwards, gutted about that. Next time tho!

cant wait for the video to come out. thanks for giving us so many brilliant nights ben!

LOL

They were mad as fook them, I remember saying to a few people "What are they doing, as they weren't in time with anything and it felt like they were making their own speakers in there with all the banging they were doing as it was THAT random! lol

Mental, and I could see you getting well pissed off at them, was funny as fook that.

(sorry, hehe)

:D

How old were they, about 60?! lol :fekked:  :cops:
