Just got hold of a copy of this new album. What can I say......very disappointing and bland. It's strange because the song that is getting the best review of the lot (put it back together feat damon alburn) is pretty bland IMO too. What is great and a totally stand out track IMO is 'push and shove feat justin robertson. Justin has a surprisingly good bluesy voice. This sounds a bit like beck and has awesome inner city goodlife-ish synthy stabs creeping into it as well. What takes the biscuit is the albums closing number which is an appaling cover of the most excellent 'the joker' by steve miller. This features booty collins on vocals and a certain sentance springs to mind. Just like the man who had sex with a dachshound 'how could he stoop so low.
