Gewd i have been craving fish like mad this last few weeks. I blame that bloody Rick Stein and his seafood lovers prog.

I am planning on making some kind of fish dish tomoz for tea (thats dinner for the posh people), can anyone recommend anything tried and trusted that is also quite easy to get hold of?

I am up for owt as long as its not salmon or oysters. Or Sea Bass actaully as i have had that recently.

Blokey I work with goes trout fishing at the w/e & is allowed to keep what he catches (or at least pay for it)... supplies the office with home filleted & home-smoked trout Lush.

i'd agree with that, tuna is great, easy and quick to cook but difficult to get right, you only have a few seconds between under and over cooking. i'd say about 1.5 - 2 mins each side depending on thickness.

smoked haddock is a piece of p1ss though and tastes great, put it in the oven for 20 mins on 190 and your done. i usually wrap it in foil first to stop it drying out.

my favourite fish is hake, but hard to get hold of in this country. wouldn't know how to cook it.
