hi,

have any of you used the pioneer or the gemini cd players that are out at the moment?

i think one would be handy to sit alongside the sl1200's to
mix in my own choonz or stuff i dont have on vinyl

just wanted to get an opinion before i buy.

cheers,

scott.

After a few weeks of none stop playin on my cdj1000 pioneer digital cd/vinyl turntables, i think i can safely say they are damn
close to a 1210.

I put them too good test whilst playin with my old favourite samples off Raf - Bonus Track and playing with a nice pattern i like to do with blapps posse over liquid sweet harmony (idea taken from xtc @ Sequins)

You can get virtually the same effect with some practice in vinyl mode, only problem i dont like is you have to burn the sample's you wanna play with (if you do like playin with cuttin up that is) over 5 seconds apart other wise the pick up from burning them in dao(disk at once mode) seems to make the track seperation freeze when spinning back and forwards between samples.

Hope this helps you in making your mind up.
