Getting clips of tunes on the site?

Is there any programs that allow you to record clips from tapes,were it converts them to the appropriate files automatically,so you can them upload to the site?
If not,which are the easiest ways to get tunes from your tapes and cd's,converted to wav files and up onto the site?
I've some wants here that have been battering my head in for nigh on 13 years or more,any help to get them up on the site will be very,very greatly appreciated!

My mate brought it around on friday but we had some probs installing it,he'd left the codes at home.He's going to bring it back around during the week.If we have further probs I'll get back in touch with you.It seems its a bit of an all rounder,I keep finding that its the answer to all my recent questions.Thanks alot for your help mate,much appreciated
