We watched Zodiac the other night, and i have to say it was dead good. There was one bit where the storyline got a little too comp lol (and i was sober), but overall i would say i wpould give it a 7/10, infact make that an 8 as it had a great soundtrackphones:

Tonight we are watching The Illusionist, any one seen it?

My mate got it out to pacify his bird last week when I was in the midlands but we were too lagging to watch it... he also got Blodd Diamond out which I remember about half the film before passing out - but it was good as I recall... bit weird seeing Di Caprio speaking in a Sith Ifrikkaaaan accent mind...

yea i started to watch zodiac last week but fell asleep coz it was late, looked good thou from what i saw of it. not seen the illusionist, looks quite good. been watchin loads of films recently..blood diamond is really good shooms, deffo watch it. :thumbsup:

went to see american gangster last week, was really good but can never beat the classic gangster films.
got one on the download called 'the wind that shakes the barley' at the mo, been told its brill.

Aye, we have done Blood Diamond an all. It was okay, a little hard to believe in places. I quite like a south african accent, its kinda exites me and freaks me out at the same time. I think the black bloke out acted Di caprio like mad.

Yep, i've seen The Illusionist, bought it a couple of monthes ago with some woolys vouchers i found in the back of the crap drawer :thumbsup: Loved it, cracking storyline with a few twists & turns that keep ya guessing (almost) til the end.

Seen both of them ages ago. Butty got them for us to watch. I liked both of them. Especially Zodiac. I'm a right mard with these sort of films and was walking around the living room wrapped in a blanket screetching!! I don't think Butty was impressed. :D

Zodiac is a decent film deffo. Enjoyed it.

The Illusionist I think got a bit lost in the wake of coming out after The Prestige but imho its a much better film. Wasn't keen on The Prestige at all but I really liked The Illusionist. The guy who plays the Prince chap is good.

I preferred The Prestige TBH. Watched Shoot Em Up tonight which was a good hour and halfs worth of entertainment. Watched Superbad last week which I found hilarious.

Have recently rewatched (again) my Pault Thomas Anderson films, Magnolia (in my top ten favourite films of all time), Boogie Nights (where I get my nick from - Excellent) and Puch Drunk Love.

I also love Darren Aronofskys films, Requiem for a dream is fantastic and The Fountain is just genius, enchanting film making.

I've wittered on enough now, so I'll shut up.

Not up to speed with new releases these days and haven't even watched Control yet, even though it's been sitting on my hard drive for about a week:crazy:

I thought the illusionist was a bit cheesy to be honest!!!

I recommend 'La Vie en Rose' (rent) about the life of the french singer Edith Paiff, 'Perfume' which is some crazy fantasy story & 'Joyeux Noel' which is a war/christmas film - (we bought these) check them out if you are into foreign films :)

Been meaning to watch La Vie En Rose.

Joyeux Noel is nice, deffo worth a watch. Another good recent foreign lang/war film to see is "Days Of Glory".

If you liked Joyeux Noel u would prob also enjoy "A Very Long Engagement" if you've not seen that already :thumbsup: .

Been reading about that Golden Compass due out in December. For people who like ur fantasy thats looking well decent.
