YYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!! :D :D

As you can probably tell i'm over the moon about Wigan moving into the Premiership next season and playing the big teams.

That was a great game of football although a little tense in the second half when we sat back on our lead. Hopefully we'll be able to attract some new players.

I wish I was off to Barbados with them on Friday, but they deserve their free holiday.

Can't wait for next season :D

Yes, congratulations to the team and the people who have put the effort into the club. Paul Jewell is a great manager.

Ipswich fans must be sick!.

Just hope the fans manage to find their voices next season (the JJB had one of the worst atmospheres I've ever been to, maybe it was just an off day!!).

We got slaughtered 4-0 but Wigan fans didn't make a sound once!.

One thing i found a bit mad was how they only had 19,000 fans there when a win would mean promotion i think the ground holds about 25,000.

Yeah, I'm sure the capacity is 25k. All credit to the team and staff though.

You're going to be playing the likes of Man City, Blackburn, Bolton, and of course United!, come on Wigan fans, put some effort in!!!!

most people from wigan support liverpool, man u, everton, etc etc thats why they got no fans at their games, they're usually at their future rivals grounds cheerin on them lol ;)

I'm sure they'll get full house's most of next season thou.

Yeah, that makes sense!...

Don't know, depends on how many they give to the away allocation!!!!. They gave us 5000, but they could give 10,000!.

It's partly to do with the policy that they've had all season - allocating that area (the East Stand) for visiting fans.

It's also because there's a dispute with the police force because it seems that we've been charged more than other clubs for the same level of cover. The police therefore wouldn't allow Wigan to use those empty seat in the stand until the dispute is settled at the end of the season ;)

Very true, but it's still a rugby town!

I'm sure that will start to change over the next few years though if they can stay fairly successful. The rugby has gone a bit pear shaped lately too, so that might change the mentality of some of the less-than-hardcore rugby supporters. :)

Ohh you wouldnt believe how good that felt watching Wigan go up over Ipswich for me. I was an honorary Wigan fan for the day i tell ya. Ipswich are down the road from me and to see their fans faces in my local as news filtered through that wigan had won was priceless. They are destined for faliure at the playoffs yet again lol Thats fu**in great that is
All the best to Wigan in the Premiership, good to see a real grass roots team in there.

We don't want you're fucking support.

Like it not, I know quite a few former rugby fans that are now Latics supporters, so you're already probably happily chatting to them before and after games :p

I don't understand your mentality, because it means more money going into the club - getting bums on seats :)

I don't think Whelan would share your cynicism ;)
