Great White Shark Dives in South Africa

Afternoon

Has anybody here done a Great White Shark Dive in South Africa? Me and a mate are looking to go sometime this year and was wondering if anyone here had done this. With it being South Africa very wary of being ripped off so any confirmed charters would be great.

I have to be careful diving though as I can have problems with water in the ear at times when swimming. That said I was fine snorkeling the last few times out, and even the shallow water dive I did years ago, but it's there in the back of mind and probably means I wont risk a dive again, especially as I was asked if i'd had problems before when I visited a diving centre.

I had to pay to visit a doctor (on the advice of the diving centre), who then said he couldn't tell me if i'd have any problems as he wasn't a specialist.

Just something to think about mate if you do intend to do one. If you don't have problems though then I say go for it and have a good one, but no idea on who to use etc.

Just a suggestion......have you tried booking the shark dive from the UK? We have sometimes done this and has always worked out. Also wonder if it would be worth contacting PADI or a governing body to see if they can suggest a company. The final point is Trip Advisor which we have found pretty trust worthy.

Very envious 1 over South Africa but 2nd about the shark dive which should be on everybodies list of things to do.
