Update: I guess the UK has discovered out little site looking at the comments wishing us dead. It is a real shame none of you actually take the time to read what we write. We do not wish Miss Goody dead, but merely want to highlight the fact that this fame whore, who has never done anything in her life to deserve our adoration, but shout her mouth off in front of TV cameras has turned her sad illness into a money making, tear jerking and media hype creating circus. All over this planet millions die each year because of cancer, but they do not get the media time Miss Goody gets. Miss Goody should spend that media time promoting cancer research, but she uses it instead to line her own pockets and talk about utter bullshit we should not care about. I’m sure Miss Goody is a brave little being, but she sure as hell is milking all this career prolonging attention. That is our beef with Jade Goody, but does that mean we want her dead. No, we just want her out of our newspapers and off our TV screens as there are more deserving people out there.

I am not a fan of reality TV in general, what I have seen on Jade Goody. . . I don't like. She has always come across very badly to me and represents virtually everything I don't like about modern "so called" celebrity.

However, whilst I will not make myself a hypocrite, I do find her plight very sad indeed. She was created by Reality TV, almost destroyed by the very thing that created her and even found out she had cancer on a Big Brother show. Talk about the circle completing itself!

Almost 100% through her own choice, she has lived her life through the media, which personally I find pretty sad. The fact she now wishes to die in full view of the media can come as no surprise. It is uncomfortable that she is selling the wedding to Hello magazine (or which ever empty headed girl mag it is), however this time the money is to provide for her kids future. I don't like it, but I understand it. The fact she has two young children is also another cause of sadness in this case.

Yes, there are many thousands of people who suffer a similar fate each year who do not get attention, but they are not a TV "celebrity".

My wife who is no fan either said the other day, "it's hit home actually as it makes you realise it could happen to anyone". It also made her fully appreciate the importance of regular smear tests. Perhaps, her plight may make other young women think the same?

I know what the extract from the website was getting at and large parts of me agree to some extent. I cannot stand the women or what she stands for, but I am not immune to her suffering either.

The website is in very bad taste, cruel for cruelties sake and the product of cold heart that has no compassion, generosity or kindness.

quoting the site doesn’t make it right or validate it mate, I read your original post and the website about ten minutes after you posted it and still just think it’s the poorest kind of gag even you’ve tried on here lol (!).

Ok, the girl’s a media-freak, loves the attention etc but she’s a normal girl in her 20s with 2 kids who’s dying and whether she’s making the right or wrong decision by having it filmed or being interviewed, apart from the financial side for her kids, she’s doing it as a way of coping with things in her head. Not the most normal way fair enough, and not to everyone’s liking, but she's in the most desperate state anyone could ever be in and its probably helping her in many many ways to think she’s keeping some kind of sane mind about it all.

We should start up reputation points on here I think.

-1 to shooms! :spin:

I can't get my head round the logic of some bits of this.

If as they cliam they don't want Jade Goody dead, they just want her off their screens and out of the papers, then surely they should just wait a couple of months - because that's the thing with a terminal illness - it's terminal. Doing something like this just highlights her plight more and gets her more attention (which is the opposite of what they supposedly want!).

Secondly Jade Goody's media attention has had a positive impact of cancer research and prevention - the number of women having cervical smears has gone up over 20 percent across Britain since Jade Goody announced she had cancer. So the very public way she lives her life has in fact done more good than any multi million pound campaign by the NHS has ever done. I'm guessing Cancer Research has seen an increase in donations as well. I'm postive you certainly won't see them complaining about Jade's actions.

Thirdly Jade Goody is trying to get money together for the sake of her very young children when she's gone - I'm not entirely sure anyone should hold that against her.

So by all means have a joke at the girl's expense if you want, but don't come out with the bullshit reasons for doing so, as they don't actually hold any water.

Agree with you there Chris:thumbsup:

I dídn't know her well enough to hate or love though, but I do think she's only really guilty of having her stupidity exploited, but she clearly had other projects too which showed she's not just a 1 trick pony.

I think it's really sad that anyone so young is dying though :(

i hate Jade and her media attention seeking, but no one deserves to go through what she is. My mom died of exactly the same illness and its not pleasant.

She could have been more subtle in how she 1st went about telling the whole world, Asian big brother is not the best way to tell the world you have cancer !!!!! but in all honesty I dont blame her now for wanting to get as much money as possible to leave for her childrens future.

Never one to hold outspoken opinions me :$ but I find this whole circus around Jade Goody to be distasteful in the extreme.

OK so she wants to make as much money as possible "for the kids"... fair do's... but is that really what the kids need? It's almost like people think it's some sort of magic formula. The more money she makes by splashing her mug all over TV & the papers before carking it, then the happier her kids will be once she's gone.

Total bollocks. I bet the kids don't give a fuck about money. There's far more to being a parent than providing the material things.

If I was one of her kids, I'm sure I'd be saying actually, you know what, fuck the money. Can we have a bit of privacy/dignity please?
Can we spend a bit of quality time with our mum before she dies, with no fucking cameras anywhere near?

Her poor kids are having the rest of their lives influenced by this, without having any say in what goes on. I just think the whole thing is completely vulgar.
