[QUOTE="misstickle, post: 754067, member: 2242"] I personally despise Max Clifford, I think he's a souless expliotative, human casino that gambles with people's lives. But my distaste doesn't extend to the people he exploits. Why the hell would I, or anyone else for that matter, waste energy on hating someone who makes a living off having no talent? Don't most of us do that? There aren't many of us who out there busting our guts and saving lives everyday or spending all our waking hours coming up with a cure for cancer. We generally work mundane, stressful jobs that pay the bills but don't necessarily exercise our full potential! What really makes me chuckle is that people find it unsavory that she's capiltalising off her experience. She has spent all of her adult life on telly, why the hell should she stop now? Because she's ill? Because we as the public can't stomach watching the reality of Cancer? Well in a "normal", mundane job, asking her to stop working because of those reasons would be classed as discrimination. She has the right to carry on with her life, let her live it the way she wants! And as for the money. I have always believed that money is not important. But if I knew I didn't have long to live, I would all of a sudden be extrememly worried about my daughter's financial situation....and more than that, the guilt she's feeling towards her children, knowing that they will be without a parent must be immense. I imagine the only way she feels she can compensate them in any way is by leaving them a shed load of money. As right or wrong as that is, none of us can comprehend how it must feel to know that you'll soon be leaving your children without a mummy forever!! And just to second what Amelie mentioned, Jade has created awareness for cervical cancer. I forgot I was suposed to have a smear last year and all this has reminded me and encouraged me to get my overdue smear done tomorrow! Anyway, as for the link, we all know what Shooms is like and it doesn't suprise me that he's being contraversial....cheap thrills as always!
