Can I ask if the version of Welcome To The Pleasuredome that you played at Retrotrax was an original 84 Trevor Horn production too, or did you add the acid bassline? Quality set it was too, although I had to miss the last 15-20 minutes as our taxi had arrived

It's an edit by Robot 84 called 'Blue Lazor Beam' - not sure if it's been pressed up as yet.

Thank you for the id Greg and apologies for going off topic.

Excellent pieces of writing about the 30th anniversary of the Hacienda and also the follow up to the piece you'd written about the original mixer of the Hacienda. It seems almost incredible today that such a farce could have occurred in 83 and it makes me wonder if films such as Breakdance and Beat Street could have had an effect on the DJ positioning at the Hacienda the following year, although I think you said that other clubs you were involved in were doing it right from the off, regardless.
