Afternoon peeps,

As a relative newbie - not even me six month anniversary yet - was just wondering how many Londoners / Suvna's are active OSA bods.

Interested to know if any of you have played out or actively play out around the London area and the clubs (and other haunts) you may or may not frequent, or have frequented in days gone by.

PLUS, if any of you are secret piano-monkeys, or prefer it darker and techier

Not sure if this has been done before (this qualifies as a music post? or should it be moved to chill-out?)

We are (come together) are having one of our parties on the 18th march just near oxford circus tube so its nice and central and will be predominantly old skool with a bit of everything thrown in. Also hope maxi and some of the other OSA faces who used to come can make it. Flyer will be added to events section soon

I am a bona fide Northern Piano monkey, but like a bit of hardcore, breakz, funky house, northern soul as well as my old skool.

Should be able to go to Nathan's do as well, will be nice to see him again.

its looking more and more likely that i'll be moving down to london sometime between july and september, and living there for at least 1, and possibly 3 years .....

so will have to catch up with yers if your about in to more or less every music style myself (bar hard bosh :| ), so am up for most nights .....

alright nath i think the same weekend as come together i am meant to be viewing a house in london with some mates .... and theres a party we're menna be heading to on the saturday ... so i'll see if i can persuade em to come down on the fri then maybe we can make it to come together which would be a bonus will let yer know if anything gets sorted

I am looking for a decent old skool night in town..... as you know I am more into the darker gear...but I am happy to funk it up at a decent old skool houser !!!

been meaning to check out - Come Together for some time....Me and Shani are both up for it... will need to find out what we are up to on the 18th..If she has not got a shed load of uni papers to write up then we will be there...

I checked out the site once, but I must have been a bit and it didn't register other than as a distant hazy memory! I think the reference to next evetn being 2003 threw me.

Oxford Circus tube is only 15 mins on the tube from Brixton

The mix of old school and a bit of everything else works... I hope! Ever hear me on PR on an early morning marathon from 4-10 or summat and you'll get classic detroit techno with 2003 driving techy house - hehe.

Indeed I do have the odd piano piece lying about somewhere... I'm not a total anti-piano sorta chap - hehe

There were a few Northern Soul lads at a bash I happened upon in Brixton last year (at a place called Plan B)... just your average disco-esque Friday night 'funky' ( god I hate that expression ) house night, but they were there for one of the djs supposedly.

Aye, I moved here to study years back and have decided on staying - not least as the thought of anything more than 40 mins commute fills me with mortal dread. Plenty dens of iniquity for you to get lost in! Deffo keep look out for any sign of you drifting down here...

To be honest, I was born in SweatySockLand... can't you tell from my broad Glaswegian accent? hahahaha (I left when I was five and my accent turned 110% Sarf pretty quickly I can tell thee).

Didn't know you were a Sterns boy Tim... bit before my time - then again, you are a tad older than me eh?

Not a decent old school night in town thats regular - the only one I know of locally is at Brixton Mass (or the BugBar?) on the third Thursday every month - not sure if it's still going... not been there myself - can't be doing with Thursday night temptation only 5 mins walk from my place and then work the next morning. Ouch. Maybe if I was 20 again.

I do not get on here as much as I would likle (2 daughters, loads of work and still 8,200 12" singles iam trying to rip and sell) but this is my favourite site.

One thing South East London rules - think Shoom,CLink Street, biology and more (and thats just on the old school tip)...

Nice to know there are alot more Londoners on here now -if Ican ever get a pass (or a baby sitter) I would love to meet up!!!
