a tune that cuts every level of the late eighties , early nineties

i cannot think of a tune that gets me going more than this .....

This tune will always be in my top ten and I'll never get tired of hearing it.

Like you say its got the lot - bleeps, bass, crowd noise, samples, a cracking piano drop, plus it holds huge amounts of personal memories both from back then and at Hazy with Suddi doing "Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Hazydayz" down the mic

just double checked and remember finding this cutting on suddis site which tells you about when they recorded the crowd at nelson, a good little read click the link below.

[Suddi.com - Daily Mirror]

not trying to plug here, but on the mix i posted it has reports from the radio about nelson warehouse being busted, with hardcore uproar playing in the background. and track 14 has another radio report on, but with the raid at dawn mix playing in the background. also used a picture of nelson warehouse for the cover. imo it was the end of the great warehouse partys, dont get me wrong revenge partys were good but everyone seemed a bit more on edge by this time. you can check the reports on my mix below.

http://www.oldskoolanthemz.com/forum/member-dj-mixes/64382-leaky-warehouse-days-glory.html

ps does anyone know if the raid at dawn mix was made in tribute to nelson, or was it out befor???

There was one at Nelson, on the Lomashaye Industrial Estate, which I think as a coincidence was owned by the same people as the Blackburn estate units. lol.

There was also one near the P&P buildings as you head near "winfields", but the estate on the opposite side.

As for where the sample was taken......I dunno .

I would like to know if the "this is the dream, this is the reality, this is the sound of hardcore uproar" bit was sampled off anything, cos I made an authentic style oldskool remix of the tune about three years ago and I might get around to re-doing it in Cubase Sx3 this year and I needed a better quality sample.

Cheers

Sirius.

Carlisle England.
Got myself a teeshirt off the net a while back with the sleeve of the tune on the front. Grown my hair again for the proper oldskool look!. On a sadder note wasnt one of band killed in Ibiza?
