Best Set For Years... Firstly I would like to thank everyone who went Hazy Dayz last Saturday for the first of 3 Beat's 15 Year birthday celebrations. For me playing upstairs was incredible. By far the best gig I have had for years and years - I'm sure you all saw my cheesy grin! The crowd were very apreciative of anything and everything I did. Even some of the more obscure chicago and detroit records I played got really great reactions. I was little concerned going on after Tag who was belting it out at 133bpm but within a couple of tracks everyone seemed to have adjusted to the more reasonable house tempo of 123bpm. I am so glad that so many people enjoyed what I did too. From some of the messages posted it seems to have been one of the best nights at Hazy Dayz. Getting to play records I bought over 17 years ago that in some instances I have never played in a club environment to a crowd was mind blowing - it was almost as though they were all brand new! It took me back to a time when house was a feeling a not a commercial conveyorbelt of repetitive blandness... Massive thanks you's to Pluto, Dreamgirl and the rest of the Hazy Dayz team for such a special occaission. One quick question 'WHEN CAN I COME AND DO IT AGAIN?' For anyone who may be interested as the night was not recorded I am planning on re recording the set at home and getting some CD's made - anyone who want's one let me know. All the best Pezz
