"Reppin" (I was very slow with the name there) Some really good points and very interersting to hear some of your musical history. Playing with PE (in full effect!) must have been one of the highlights. I know a lot of the Dj's who created the scence at the end of the 80's were heavy influenced by Hip hop, the same with the punters too (certainly the case with Sully and myself), can't speak for Jay Weardon but looking through his record box on Saturday night said a lot. Couldn't agree more with the "superstar" Dj crap. Although, thankfully we seem to be moving past tossers like Jeremy Healy/Boy Goerge and their associated clubs ie: gatecrasher, I couldn't think of a worse night than listening to a load of Judge Jules shite surrounded by a load of pretentious twats with retro mullets and wannabe Beckhams. There are some good altenative nights out there if you have a look around, where the artistry takes precedence (friends and family/ Electric Chair to name a couple) but granted it takes some effort to find them!!! I could go on all day, Reppin before you shoot off on your travels, I think Sullys idea of a hip hop/musical influence night is a great idea. Whether someone will put it on and if you fancy it is another question? Anyway bang on your shell toes and dig out the lino
