Sorry Jiglo, not a set of headphones I rate......had same Sony headphones Orb used in 88 then moved onto some pretty poor Sonys then ending up with the Sony 700's which were great although my set eventually broke meaning I have now moved onto A&H headphones.
Much prefer full cup rather than HD25's

Didn't like them. The fit or sound. I like my Sony 700, although you have to baby them to stop them breaking.
I love mine - had em years and into opinion they are quality.
They do have a certain fit so can understand why some do not like but they are a solid set and do a good job - headphones are an essential bit of kit so it's important u get what's right for you

I only use mine for listening to stuff through the laptop, but I use them pretty much daily and they're built to lastphones:
If something goes wrong, you can swap out most of the parts, or if you want a straight or curly lead, not a problem. I really rate them for home listening as they're low fatigue, so I can wear them for hours without the need for a break.
Seeing as they're as old as the rave scene though and still used by a lot of DJ's I know and nearly all the sports reporters at live events, then I think they deserve a special mention. They might even outlive the 1200/1210's too and that's some feat in this day and age
