Helloall,
Just joined and thought I better come and better say hello.
Not been out for years,as doing the family thing, but still miss the old days!
Started going out at Thunderdome -I went to school with Jay wearden and his brother- and then to the House when TD closed.
Frequented Sequins, Bugsys, Oz, Zone, Bowlers, Pleasuredrome, and I think most NW clubs!
Don't remember any of the Blackburn raves, though I'm told I went.(Ahem!)
Always DJ'ed but only at home to my dog or after clubs at peoples houses after parties -legend in my own bedroom. Though I gave up when the dog started to go to other bedrooms because I was getting too hardcore!
Best records in my humble opinion are:
Dreams of Santa Anna by Orange Lemon -reminds me of the Thunderdome, and takes me right back when I hear its intro.
Jam the Dance by Asmo, as it typifies what I love about uplifting stuff. (Great for acapellas as well!)
Templehead by Transglobal Underground -the 33rpm played at 45rpm- as it is just great, and has everything.
I'll stop there or I'll waffle for ages and kdeep changing my mind.
Look forward to chatting to you all. (I have probably met some of you before in clubs anyway)
Cheers, Gav(brad)
