A friend who I fallen out with last year very sadley lost her two week old baby this morning, which has completely shocked and upset me.

I found out off her sister who i'm still speaking too and I would really like to send her a card or a letter but I don't know if it would be a good idea?????

Sorry to hear that GemGem, sent a card without a doubt, it's time like these that you have to put fallouts aside and give support. I'm sure she'll appreciate that you care.

The hard part is gonna be picking a card, don't want it to be too morbid, might write a small letter and put it inside.

I always get blank cards with a nice picture on for things like this, i don't like the sympathy or bereavement ones! A letter inside would be nice, gonna be very hard to write i should imagine but i'm sure she'll appreciate it.

If you were really close friends I`m sure it would mean an awful lot to her to know your thinking of her,its so hard to know what to say to someone who has lost a child,it happened to my friends last year and its very hard to find to find the right words. But at times like these arguments are put aside even better forgotten.Write the card if only to settle your own mind you dont want to live your life regreting you never said anything.hope this helps :)
Just let her know your thinking of her....

Basically the reason we fell out was, when i found out she was pregnant i asked her whether or not she was doing the right thing, as the father of the baby she'd only been seeing two weeks (but been after for ages etc) and she'd also tried to top herself the previous year, so obv i was worried.

but she couldnt believe i'd think that bout her so she took offence and hasnt spoke to me since, i've tried to contact her several times but she ended up changing her number :(

i suppose that would make it a little more difficult but you can only do what you think's is the best so go with your gut feling which is probably to go round with a card scott.

Its events like this that make you realise how pathetic and insignificant fall-outs are, so she will probably appreciate it.

However, i had a similar experience with a mate who i fell out with b4 she was pregnant, sent her my congratulations n that when she had the baby n she didnt take it too kindly, although she realised how silly it all was after a while n we r friends now.

good luck
