Right.... I only have a works lappy....
When I had BT bband previously I had a seperate network dialup setting/icon for it & it 'dialed' in...
Working at work I had to define proxy settings for work use and stuff like soulseek was unavailable when in work...
With NTL BB there is no 'dialer' per se - I just plug the ethernet cable into me lappy at home & I am instantly connected...
Previously with NTL I had to keep changed the IE settings from proxy (at work) to auto detect... no seemingly @ work auto-detect works too... which it never has done previously... Also I tried soulseek n that now connects from work
Is it possible (techie idiot here) that my connectivity for things like DB2/Lotus Notes are connecting via internal network but everything else (MSN/IE/Sseek etc) is connecting via my NTL network... even when I'm at work ??
Also I used www.whatsmyip.com to get my IP address at work... how can I then check to see what that IP addy relates to (work or NTL)... cheers for any helpage
