Hidden files in xp

just made a file with all my passwords in it, and made it a hidden file in Windows xp.....only thing is...i cant seem to open it now

I know where it is on my computer, but can someone tell me how the hell i open it again, i have tried browsing for it, by addidng the link...but still nothing

any computer boffins out there that can give me some help with this, i would much appreciate it

This :

Goto top of screen, click on view then folder options and there should be a little radio button that says show system and hidden files. Once you have checked the button, all the folders/files should show. Then do a search for the file name.

Thats off the top of my head as my works puter is running win2k....

Just a small point mate... its not a very safe way of hiding password files because most intruders don't use windows explorer and will be able to see the file.

Try encrypting it with PGP or GPG (or the massive amount of freeware utilities out there).

Thanks for the help everyone.....and cheers too fuggie for the tip....think i will just put them down on paper....and hide them with mi jiz mags in future lol :D
