Well i aint got much to say realy :p but im 18 and i live quite near Butty , i love old skool , i used to nik my brothers tapes so you can blame him for getting me into it and i sort of introduced it to Sapper my mate and now we cant get enough of it :fekked: i've also been thinkin of gettin some decks but a aint got a job at the moment coz i couldn't handle it :S plus ive only realy had a couple of goes at mixin but it would be great if i could properly :D

I am an Old Old Skooler - probably the oldest on the board at 30 something - but age does not matter here........

I am fairly new to the board (joined this summer) and got hooked very quickly - its so great to find people who feel exactly the same as you do about the important things in life - eg toons - as well as other things of course! The chat on here is about anthing tho - whatever you feel like!

Spent my first night at Courtney's last night - I had a top time! :luv: - where butty DJs Fridays and Saturdays - met few people from here there and a good night was had by all ;) :D

Cool , me and Sapper have been talking about going to Courtney's , think we mite go next friday some summet . Don't hear of many places that play Old Skool , i've only realy heard of Courtney's n Maximes so i think we're goin to have to try them out . Would be gr8 to go n see all you lot off here even tho i dont know you's yet but by the sounds of things you are all into Old Skool as much as me , probably more !! :D

So are you lot into optinal extras when you go clubbin' ? :eek:

Well i first started listening to it when i was about 13/14 but wasn't into it as much as i am now and its all i listen to , everything else is parp ! Oh and i just thought i would tell you that my fav choon at the moment is Mix Factory - Take Me Away but there are hundreds of other top tracks which a love !

So do you have kids Cookie ? if so do you make them listen to Old Skool ? :spin:

Yeah, get yourself along to one of the nights (not been to Courtneys or Maximes yet, but hope to soon!), if you fancy something a bit further afield, how about Goodtimes in Leeds?, held monthly or so, always a top night with top DJ's, and the OSA representatives are always out in force!, (check the listings/events section for more details)...

If you're into your tunes, the resident tunemeisters will no doubt be able to ID 95% of the tracks you're after.

Oh, and you won't be able to stop posting, 'cos once you're on... you're hooked!!.

Hiya, I'm in me 30's, well in2 old skool, have a struggle rememberin names of tunes but am gettin a little better these days!!! Love goin out clubbin & talkin codsh*te on here with these mad heads!! In case u didn't already know I'm a bird with attitude!!! Like Cookie said get urself sum decks & live ur dream, mixin only gets better with practice!!! U've come 2 the rite place if u want sum advice on which decks 2 get!!!

No kids - just a hubby (Daz, who I met out clubbing years ago) and 2 cats (Dropkick & Roundhouse) - everyone listens to Old Skool in our house.

LOL Dropkick & Roundhouse , she's rite , you are a mad ed :D Cheers peeps , i think i will be here for a long time , hope so anyways ! Do you have anything when you go clubbing or do you just get pissed out of your faces or do you just stay soba?

I mite want some advise on decks soon , need to get a bit of $ saved up , how much you think so a basic set (nothing special) ?

Yea suppose your rite mate . Depends on the atmosphere :p Well i think we're definately goin out next fri/sat but not sure which to do : Town/Bolton most of us want to go to Bolton or summet but i fancy tryin Courtneys myself , which do you lot recommend?
