whats the scariest horror film or programme you have seen?
i havnt seen a horror film for years now ....think the last one was the blair witch project ...... are there any recent good ones ?

was watching a rerun of an old hammer house of horror episode last week (the one with the hitch hiker in it) and it got me thinking of some of the scary horror films i watched as a kid when videos first came out .......

evil dead was pretty scary (especially the bit were the girl is floating and her head is spinning)

does anyone remember salems lot ( think david soul of starskey and hutch fame was in it) ??

amityville II (remember a bit where blood came out of the taps)

there was also one me and the missus watched once called witchboard, dont remember much about it but remember it was pretty scary ..does anyone else remember it ?

cheers :D

Dont do horrors cus im a big wimp :p

Just ask shorty and pissbag who nearly fell off the sofa watching dr Who  or sumthing like that :$

But SALEMS LOT is well bad.....i couldnt watch it again today cus ive only just managed to shake off the bad dreams from bein a child

The American werewolf in London did my head in too as a kid, jumped out of my skin with that :naughty: :|

The Howling was another...but on the Hammer House of horror ones...sum were bad and sum were ok...but i now have my greatest fear through watching one of them.....where a lass got buried alive in a box and only had a straw for a breathing tube    not for me thanks  :naughty:

I was told to go and watch The Ring (CUS ITS NOT THAT BAD) YEAH RIGHT  :| I promptly shat myself and couldnt sleep for ages afterwards  especially seeing as my TV decided to play up switching itself on at the time too :| :| :|

Dunno if its just me but horror just isn't what it used to be.

Some of my fav's included:

Poltergiest
The Shining
The Thing
The Fog

Not seen anything that scarred me recently, "The Others" and "The Ring" had a few moments that made me jump tho.

Bad Taste........ a top horror....... :D :D :D :p :eyebrow:

Now that is a class film - not really that scary as it's so ridiculous!! But hilariously funny, and proof that peter jackson has always been a bit of an oddball. Favourite moment has to be the bit where the guy fires a rocket launcher at the house, the rocket goes straight through, out the other side and hits a cow in the field :D

I thought that Saw was a pretty good film but none of my mates agree, but then again one of my mates who don't like it thinks that Open Water (i think it's called) is a good film coz its got sharks in it?

The only film that i've had to put the light back on (when i've been watching them on my own) was Exorcist 3.

I don't normally find horror movies scary at all, but something made me think "i'd rather watch this with the light on" that night :$

Alright

Depends on if you're into old or new stuff...

New :

The Ring (excellent!)
The Grudge (excellent!)
Saw
Dawn of the Dead

Old :

The Evil Dead
Omen Trilogy (my faves!)
Poltergiest
American Werewolf in London

Last time I was scared at a horror film was watching the Evil Dead when it was released (betamax days!) - half way through it and the tv blew up!. I was only a kid!, watching it at my sisters and I can't ever remember being so scared!.

Morseleum was a flick that had me shitting myself as a kid in the 80's. About some woman that turned into a monster when she got turned on

In the 90's it was The Blair Witch Project that had me in disbelief that me and my mates at school used to camp out in the woods just a few years before seeing that, soooo glad I didn't do it anymore after seeing that, not so much scary but I'm sure it would have been tho thinking about it after a heavy smoking session around the campfire in the woods :mexican: or the burnt out car on "the cricket" as I'm sure Bigtruck may recall peeps camping out on, including myself.

00's is probably Saw, not scary at all but got one or two disturbing images and concepts going on in there. Good film tho

And another thing..

Salems Lot is smart, but it used to piss me off when they didnt show the full 3 hour jobby on telly, just a crappy 90 min edited film

Witchboard was top as well, isnt there some bit when an Axe flies out from nowhere to some womans head, scared the bejesus out of me that did
