Been listening to some sets on the Goodtimes website which have got me going and really want to venture up there.
Only problem is I live near Oxford and would't fancy the drive home for safety reasons.
Anyone know or stayed in any alright hotels closeby? The hotel would have to be reasonable so I could persude my Mrs to go and stay?

Here is a list of the hotels in wakefield :- http://www.ukhotel.com/yorkshire/wakefield-hotels.html

i'd probs either go for the campanile (coz it will be fairly cheap i imagine and it wont be anymore than 2-3 quid in a taxi back to the hotel), the chasley hotel (coz its basically right next to the club - but it may cost a bit more cash) or the holiday inn, as i imagine again it will be fairly cheap, as would the days hotel/inn which is basically nextdoor, and both are straight off the M1 junction so are piss easy to find ..... (it will be a 5 quid taxi ride back to the hotel after the club) ....

these are about 2/3 miles from the centre of wakefield straight down one road (dewsbury road), so the taxi in should cost no more than 4/5 quid, again i cant see the taxi back costing much more than a fiver too .... ossett cars is the closest firm (and cheapest) to that hotel, their number being 01924 274274 .... other local firms are central taxi 01924 281008 and horbury cars 01924 267267 .... i'd try using any of the above three instead of letting the hotel ring you one, as you'll probs get a wakefield cab which will end up costing you more .... ;)

The above is info which i have already sent people via pm for hotels in wakefield. Hope it can be of some use :)
