Just downloaded a mix from here 1:50:46 Is there anyway to chop some time off to then burn to CD?

cheers

Depends if you want to remove a specific bit or you're happy for the end to be chopped.
If you want the end to be chopped, just burn in itunes & it will warn that it won't fit onto 1 cd. iirc you then just go along with it, but don't insert a second cd. There'll be a far more professional way, but i can't be arsed to spend time/money finding it.

If you want to remove a bit in the middle, you will need an application such as Audacity/ Soundforge/ Nero wave Editor, load up the file, highlight the bit you don't want, then choose delete from the edit menu.

That's how I'd do it !!!

I'd use a program like soundforge to split the file in half.

Then burn it on 2 CD-R's - you won't lose any of the audio that way.

Or, if your CD player supports mp3 playback, a lot do thesedays, or if you have an ipod/iriver etc just stick it on that and play it from there instead - saves using CD's that way.

;) Thanks for the replies alot to think about now.

I'm not up on this computer stuff but willing to try and will probably take some

figuring out.

Because it's a long duration I rekon the idea of splitting it onto 2 CD's is genius

then nothing will be lost.
