Hi Lesley... and everyone else of course...;) Don't know what to tell you all about me really... I'm 32 now so I feel reeeaaally old here...lol.. Although thinking about it.. It's some of you lot who are just too young to be into this old skool malarky...lol I found this place cos i was hunting around on the net for old tunes which have eluded me for too long. It's nice to find a site like this with such friendly peeps populating it... you never know I might end up making a few comeback appearances at one of these fantastic nights you lot talk about. It's about 2 years since I was at an old skool night... i think it was a Paul Taylor Retro jobby... but I would have been too mashed to remember properly lol.. I'm wondering what gets some of the younger aold skoolers into the scene?... No doubt the quality of the music is a big factor... but my excuse is that i was there first time around...lol... just never moved on with the times I guess... So when it got to '92, I sort of stuck with that and the previous few years, music wise... It just seemed to go down hill from there on as far as I was concerned...lol Saying that though... '94 was a big year for some of us too... mainly cos of a cracking little club we used to go to most Saturdays... that was XS in Barnsley... anyone else go there?? Then I got to know Mark H (one half of old skool act 'Flipped Out' and got back into the earlier stuff). Suppose I have to blame Sasha though for my love of old skool... Can't remember where I first heard him play one of his awesome piano driven sets... but it was him that did it...lol Ash....
