I love the oldskool, it plays a huge part in my life. All genres, I really am into electronic sounds in all their forms. I am also into other styles and sounds.

Here's a screen shot of my Ipods playlists. Anyone else organise their pod in a similar way?

Deffo down with The Roses and Lizzy...but not with itunes...got a real passion for Live And Dangerous on vinyl...it's a wicked cut, I haven't listened to the remastered cd version yet tho, and anything by Browny or The Roses is pure audio gold...lol..again, I got a wierd one for The Second Coming on audio cassette in the car...but also, I love the way CD quality has bought some tracks to life, partic The Remixes...still love me crackley old vinyl best though.

I kind of meant the list on the left Perko. I take my pod everywhere with me. Love it. Vinyl is best but you are missing a trick not embracing this ultra portable party starting device. Other mp3 players are of course available.

Got ya...before I lost my previous HD... I had a very healthy rotation of music in and out of my lappy...untill very recently, I was self - employed, traditional building..bricky and plasterer with traditional materials..so my mp3 player...was a shitter..well, cheap you know, I used to get through phones like 1 every 2 months or something...but...I still have the last one here...an old 2gb jobbie which I will upload the tracklist from when I can find it's lead...I think the only reason I don't use itunes to catalogue and play my tunes is, i would normally be listening/playing a wav file or editing in wavelab. I have the latest version installed as my daughter has an ipod and we obv need to go to the store etc...I actually find it hard to use, I can never work out where new stuff is on the panel, or how to edit the folders..lol.

leads longone I reckon...but from a quick flick through...
Thin Lizzy, The Beat, The Specials, The Jam, The Who,The Small Faces, UB40, Pink Floyd, Peter Tosh, John Holt, load of Trojan stuff, Stone Roses and some solo Ian Brown, UNCLE, tracks by Matrix and Optical, various tracks from Stax, Motown and some northern soul..Freda Payne, Ottis, Edwin *...Wilson Picket...some psychobilly /rockabilly stuff from The Longfoot, King Kurt and The Meteors!!!! but no old school at all on this one, must've been having a break...this would've been sooooo much easier on an ipod

Yeah well you're into basically the same stuff as me. I never liked iTunes either and found it a pain to navigate until one day I found myself with thousands of hours of music so forced myself to delve deeper and organise it all.
Anyway, keep enjoying whatever sounds using whatever media or device. All music turns me on from Hendrix to Hardcore.
Love Ian Brown's solo stuffn'all

CHAOS THEORY...

Most of the stuff in my Record collection was quickly ripped in there to supply a couple of OSA lads with some library material...and I just haven't had time or patience to start re-recording all the files I lost when my HD died.
