Alright everyone!

Been a member on this sit for a few years but dont think i've ever posted before. Anyway, strted downloading some old mixes (didnt know they were even there before  ) and fck me I'm 15 again at some shitty looking warehouse in blackburn full of MBS and microdots not knowing what the fck is going on!

A few years later I got a job as a lazer technician and my first job was the first all nighter at quadrant park (just downloaded the Mike Knowler mix  ) chicken soup was my drug of choice and lazers and strobes was what i did, mad thing is i was that off my cake on the desk i never used to realise there were 1000's of other people in the room just me, music, strobes and the loooooovely green lazer!

fast forward a few years and i have a deep and meaningful relationship with biscuits and doves :S working for the same company and going all over the country working at the likes of Amnesia House @ Donington, the forum in Livingston, loads of others i just dont remember, residents at the quad, then cream, bowlers, 051, some nuthouse in bolton? was that bowlers as well? we worked from Thursday till early hours Sunday without any kip at all (same for everyone i suppose)

I was trying to explain what the music was really like to some lads i know, they were saying how they thought it was very similar to the shit they roll out now, correction young whipper snappers! you were born at the wrong time my son and i was born at the perfect time! so i put a mix to cd for one lads and now they are all gutted they didnt live in a time when we didnt all hate each other and clubs were not to be feared (at least not until later in the 90's)

anyway just thought i'd post and say thanks for letting me relive my youth on as daily basis! the kids think I've lost i reckon, thanks again!

Re: Indeed

Raf M8 I know exactly what you are saying.

I'm 33 and started in 95 , had all the tunes on the radio whilst doing my homework in 90 when was 13.

So many time shave I been to old skool parties and the kids love it, it was a good time even in 95,96,97, when the aggro started society has changed and become too aggresive.

The problem is youth today have no culture of their own, their music is ripped off bastardised verisons of 90s classics or this manufactured x factor shit.

We had are thing in the 90s castle donnington, steart beach etc , 70s had their thing, 60s had the hippies-woodstock, isle of wight etc 50s had the beatles and shit.. Wat did they have in the naughties -nothing m8 its really sad, I believe that is why they are how they are in my day we had things tough but we had a commoradery today all they are interested in is making it look like they have money even if they do not.

I was sent to a good school and my parents always gave me shit cos iw ent tor aves and stuff but like I always said there was never any trouble the trouble was at the local; pub or the main stream cheesy disco ,w e had alove and a unity , the only time there was trouble was when the local gangs got in. During my uni days when the trouble in london kicked of we started a campaign to stop it an had d a big united systems party.
