I think Ive already added this tracklist Mark :S

Big was one of those records that majorly crossed over from Indie to dance
in 1990, without ever meaning to. I think Da Silva mixed the Baka mix, which is on the B side. I seem to remember it was more popular on Fridays and Saturdays at the Hac, but the A side used to get caned at Haslams Indie night on a Thursday (which had its fair share of house played)..

Great record, I'll try and find it to rip

Indie Dance got a slating towards the end of 1990, as a "genre" I rated it.. :)

IMO the people who were the knockers (oo er) were typical of the way house music went, and it wasnt long before the days of playing anything, Indie Dance, Disco, Hip Hop, Detroit Techno, Italian Piano, US House etc died a death..

i watched this the other night and when Baka came on it took me a bit of a think to remember what the tune was before i could remember - lovely intro

Thought that it was one of the best tunes on the programme - and there a lot of classics on that list

"the desert grows 4(??) miles a year"

Gonna did it out for a play now phones:

Went to see the New FADS a couple of times, was into them. Loud fast guitars in the main, which was unusual at the time. Big was laid back, though, and the B Side, as said, was a top tune.

"The desert grows 3 miles a year
It just grows
It just grows
I put my pain in a jar &
It will be full tomorrow"

Music is Shit, that was it. They were totally different to all the other stuff I used to listen to at the time, must have been all those Quo records my Dad played when I was a kid still having an influence

Back to the Ibiza ASFAC. It's been a long time since I watched it.
Does anyone know which of those tunes is a trancey/repetitive type tune, that they only had a small clip of. Used to love that one. Cheers.

Big balearic beauty. Its on the HTFR poster. Hope that sorts a few people out. Thats my good deed for the day I can go back to mugging grannies now
