Yeah, thought it might be a Service Pack problem :(

Dunno about changing browsers tho, Ive a standard build lappy and the geeks at work will have a wobbler if they see something uncertified on the comp :S

Aye, tech controllers do get a bit funny like that - run it by them tho - I think its got less security flaws than IE6, so that could be a selling point?

if your certain that its explorer thats the issue then you can use other browsers like firefox as previously mentioned or opera (although I prefer the simplicty of IE meself:| ) and cant be arsed farting around with something new.

I dont think its quite that easy to overwrite or repair IE if it goes belly up as it is an integrated part of winxp, but theres a registry tweak which makes windows think that IE is not installed and the windows update will auto install it for you by d/ling it from the microsoft site.

In a world of my own
firefox is a shit load more secure and less likely to get viruses in temp files as well, plus pop ups dont work there targeted to explorer.

Try windows up date although I think 6 is the latest version, not sure cause i think its pants, if you have a reg cleaner use it and clean out your registry.
