Hey everyone..

I'm a 30-year old dude currently in California, previously NYC and Boston.

quick history:

Was a typical young kid watching MTV in the late 80s.. then got into hip hop and new jack swing. In 1991 or so age 12, I was at an older friend's house, and she played me the first club/techno music I ever really heard (Kon Kan 'Liberty!' - how embarrassing..) I didn't know any artists really, just the word 'techno' so I went and searched for cassettes (that's all I could afford on my allowance at the time). The first thing I bought? 'Don't Techno For An Answer' - a state-side compilation of belter tracks from Guerilla and Tribal America, including Intoxication, Rhythm Addiction, Love & Contradiction, Temporary Love, etc. I was hooked for life.

Was a huge compilation and mix whore throughout the 90s as well as a budding producer -- in the late 90s I started DJing in Boston and bought vinyl more and more as I had some income, currently I have about 1200 records mostly from 1990-2000 ranging from hip house (Fast Eddie tracks in Sasha's early sets i see!), prog house, early period swedish house and techno like SVEK, and downtempo like Ninja Tune. I also like cheesy classics like gypsy woman, show me love, and all that black box stuff.

My favorite record is Guerilla 002, React 2 Rhythm / Rhythm Addiction - inparticular the william orbit mustang mix. I sleep with it under my bed so I can never have it stolen. Dr. Atomic - Schudelfloss is another favorite.

Cried tears of joy seeing the Sasha setlists on mercuryserver, and that led me here..

Glad to see you all, love you all!!
