It's Time (to get to the bottom of this, lolol)

Right I got Bit Machine "It's Time" on a bootleg (with Expose, Zero B and summat else). Fukkin top tuneage (imo).

Anyway, I also got the proper release (2 of em ) One I assume is original release on Holborn and another release on Time / Polydor. Both have same mixes:

Hurricane Mix
Paradise Mix
Paradise Instrumental

The Hurricane Mix is "the man", but the bloody vocal is by someone different to the bootie. It's v v similar, but I wanna know where the mix on the bootie came from

Can't find it anywhere

Top tunage................picked mine up for a quid about 6 years ago. :).

Its a woman singing on vocals, which, if Im not mistaken (I may be!) has parts of Mick Jaggers' "Jumpin Jack Flash" re sung in it!!!!!????????.

Didnt know this got on any boots though, I think I have one with zeroB, Expose, Sbam and House Corporation though..........

see ya,

Sirius.

matey!
i've got the holborn/pan pot italian release and that is the one to have.it's got the illegal vocal samples in it which i think are by aretha franklin or someone like that (proper class diva vocalist).
the none italian one is a reworking with another vocalist i believe.
all the best

Lol I'm still as baffled :axe: :axe:

I got the Holborn release # HB 05 (which is featuring Karen Jones so I assume that's the bird singing) :D

I've also got the Polydor release # 865 627 (which again features Karen Jones, but this one claims to have been 'arranged and mixed by black box') :p

They're exactly the same !!! :| Identical mixes, same vocal, even run at same fukkin speed. As far as I can tell black box did fuk all arranging and no mixing - they just repressed the original Holborn release and upgraded the sleave

So the question is where did the bootleg mix come from  It's defo a different vocal, and it does sound more professional than the formal releases I got

Is the vocal I've got on the bootleg the one that's on your Holborn release Mikey, and if so how comes it's not on mine  Is yours a different Holborn release to mine  Sods law init the only fukkin release list I don't have is the Holborn / Pan Pot one

Arrrrggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh

Hmmmmmmmmmn. Bit of a mystery this is turning out to be innit!.

Mines on Holborn/PanPot, HB05, but theres no mention of a singer name anywhere. Its inscribed 'Its Time'. 1991 usual white/blue combo. Mine has a pic sleeve with two dodgy italian fella's in a sort of tubeway..............I guess mines the orig then??. The singer does sound gritty like our Arethra or somebody who smokes at least 1000 fags a day!!!!!.

Catch ya,

Sirius.

right it's time....

For Mr V. Animal..

my holborn copy is HB 05 and is c&p to panpot italy 1991.

it's got the same mixes on as yours...and you're right, the hurricane mix is the one.
...the only thing is...is that mine isn't feat. karen jones :naughty:

i have a feeling that it was released twice on holborn with the same catalogue number.it has no mention of her on the record whatsoever which would suggest why both of yours are the same.
it doesn't mention black box either, but it was produced by daniele davoli (aka dl lelewel & fu*kin top dj might i add!!!)...who produced/wrote the blackbox stuff i believe.

lastly,i'll just mention this.
before the 'i was caught in a....' vocal bit comes in for the first time, there's a vocal sample of 'kym mazelle',from the record 'was that all it was'.it's a 'dooo dooo doo' type vocal with no specific lyrics to it,but i wouldn't have thought this wouldn't have been in the polydor one for legal reasons, speshly if they've re-done the vocals with karen jones.
hope this clears it up now.
all the best

p.s. this'll be on my next CD rich....but if you come to fleetwood i might just play it for ya! :phones:

Lolololol, that would explain the mystery  Bunch of Italian fukwits

My cover appears to be identical to yours Sirius - his mate in the tube with him has a keyboard under his arm.... The label in the centre is genuine too, except on mine it says:

"Har Har VA fell for our slimey Italian plan and wasted his money, cause this one features Karen Bastard Jones"

Bugger

Cheers for clearing it up for me lads

don't fret though mate,i've had 2 copies of this in my time and i'm sure another will turn up,when it does i give you shout mister......yes?!?!
